I'm planning on honeymooning in Disney World in May 2005. What are some special things we could do or see while at Disney?

Congrats!

We are honeymooning next month and we has a PS for dinner at Narcoosee's during Wishes, we are goin on a carriage ride at POR, and have tickets for La Nouba. Otherwise, we have no plans. After the busy planning of a wedding we are going to play most of it by ear.

There are lots of other things to do as well. Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's, a Fireworks cruise, walk on the beach/boardwalk at some of the resorts. It really all depends on your buget!

Have fun planning!

Some of the things we did on our honeymoon where:

Dinners at Jiko, The California Grill, Spoodles and Alfredo's.
Parasailing
Wishes Cruise
Segway Tour in EPCOT
Couples massage at the GF Spa

What you see and do all depends on your budget. We splurged for our honeymoon, but my DH and I have also had quite the romantic meal at Cosmic Ray's (counter service, Tomorrowland) sitting out on the patio looking at the castle. Romance is everywhere in Disney. Especially when you are with the one you love! :lovestruc I hope you have a great time!

Thanks for all of your ideas. Here's what I think we'll do:

- Polynesian Resort Luau
- Breathless boat to watch IllumiNations
- Dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club)
- Honeymoon photo session at Magic Kingdom and/or EPCOT
- Couple's spa treatment
- and maybe Cirque du Soleil La Nouba

Does anyone have anymore suggestions or tips? THANKS!

My wife and I honeymooned at WDW in 2002. We've since been back every year. Here are a few things you might want to try:

* Ice Cream Social re-hitching ceremony.
* Dinner @ V&A. We will only do this ONCE but it was on our honeymoon on valentines day so we splurged.
* Breathless Cruise (we did that too - great choice!)
* Fultons Crab House, Yachtsman, Narcoossees, etc.
* GET THE EARS. There are Mickey/Minnie ears that you can get that look like a top hat and veil. We bought ours ahead of time on ebay and wore them on the plane down there.
* Consider staying on a concierge level. The extra pampering is nice.
* Do a disney photo shoot. When we went, we were on the "Honeymoon Discovery Magic" package which included a Disney photographer for an hour or so basically walking around MK taking photos of us in front of things., Then they sent a nice leather-bound album up to us. GREAT keepsake.
* Note on every reservation its your honeymoon. You'll be surprised the "extra" magic you get!
* DW went parasailing. I stayed SAFELY in the boat and watched. :hyper:

I think thats it... Enjoy and congrats!

We definitely plan to go to La Nouba--we saw the traveling Allegria in Mpls and it was fantastic--can't wait to see the Disney show!

Also, we are doing a couples massage.

We are not purchasing the Romance Plan or whatever it is for $600+ because we are just booking a few things separately and not doing the carriage ride and so forth.

I think I'm going to have to check out the steakhouse for dinner!

We're honeymooning in disney too!

Definately don't miss La Nouba! We saw it two years ago, and we're planning on seeing it agin. We've seen 3 different Cirque du Soleil shows... we liked La Nouba the best!

i added the romance plan and the honeymoon photo session is not included, has this been discontinued?

Congrats! :lovestruc

We did our honeymoon in WDW in 2002...and we had such a romantic time.

We received a gift of Mickey and Minnie wedding ears (a wedding gift from a fellow Dis'er honeymooning at WL) and it was the best thing ever. (It made our honeymoon THAT much more special and magical).

We did the Polynesian Luau (now the Spirit of Aloha), and imho, the show was much better then it is now. (The Spirit of Aloha isn't as...authentic and romantic now).
We couldn't get CRT breakfast, but had dinner in the castle and it was beautiful. We didn't really get to have "special" dinners like V&A or CG, but we everywhere we ate, they always gave us a special treat b/c it was our honeymoon. (Also, the rehitching ceremony was SO funny..give that a try too!)

We also did the photo session ( we chose MK) and that was So much fun, the photographer asked if we wanted more scenic photos or character photos and we opted for the characters instead...and the photo session came out great! The interaction w/ the characters were personal and not rushed and the shots taken were so cute! The characters really got into helping us celebrate our honeymoon.

Definitely tell your TA or CRO that you'll be celebrating your honeymoon and definitely get the Mickey and Minnie ears...HAVE FUN and CONGRATS!

We honeymooned in Disney and are returning again this year for a belated first year anniversary trip. Here are a few magical things that we love:

- La Nouba (amazing!!)
- Dinner at Victoria & Albert's
- Couples massage at the Grand Floridian Spa
- Watching Illuminations
- Exploring the World Showcase together
- Dinner at the California Grill during the fireworks
- Strolling the Boardwalk in the evening
- Late night dip in the pool

Congratulations and have a great trip!!

One thing that worked out to be "romantic" without really planning it that way was dinner at Epcot. We scheduled the latest seating at the Italian restaurant there. I believe it was during Illuminations, which we had alredy seen. Dinner is very relaxed there and the setting is charming, with the opera singers etc. Anyway.... when we were done and left the restaurant, Epcot was desserted! There was not a soul around, just some music piped in. In fact, we had to circle back because one of the drawbridges was up. There was no one to rush us out and it was really just a magical moment.
