Honeymoon rooms at AKL?

Does anyone know if there are honeymoon rooms at the AKL?

FI and I are staying at the WL during our honeymoon next year and we booked one of the 4 'honeymoon rooms'.

FI is thinking of splitting our vaca between WL and AKL...I was just wonding if we'd be able to get a comparable room at AKL.

I would also like to know an answer to this. I know they have suites and concierge rooms, but any special honeymoon rooms? We're staying at the GF, but since I'd love to get to do the Sunrise Safari I thought this might be a way if we stay there for a couple on nights.

I can't say for AKL, but we stayed at WL in one of the honeymoon rooms and swore we'd never stay anywhere else ever! Of course we couldn't stick to that promise, but we really loved it there! WL staff was so wonderful to us - they sent a fruit basket and bottle of champagne for us - of course that wasn't guaranteed, but the staff was just great. We ate at Artist Point while we were there and since then we make that our anniversary dinner every year.

Two of the rooms have MK views - a little obstructed, but we could see the castle from the bathroom window which was nice - don't forget to request that if you want it. Fireworks are easy to see from the balcony on the MK side rooms.

We felt very close to MK and all the great restaurants at the MK resorts, but the rooms were very private and felt really special (this was prior to the WL concierge though) not sure how that effects the rooms now.

We stayed at AKL in a king room last Sept and really enjoyed it as well, but I have to say that I preferred splitting my WL stay with BWV - we rented points for a studio and were able to make the best use of park hours that way and had all the conveniences that way.

I don't *think* there are honeymoon rooms at AKL. As far as I know, they have the standard rooms, 'deluxe' rooms, and various suites.

I just wanted to add something to what Melissa said. I loved the honey moon room at wilderness lodge, and I love wilderness lodge in general. Those are really neat rooms, and it feels neat being at the top of the lobby. However, now that the top floor is concierge, they have a sitting area along the balcony on the top floor, and I think that would really impact on the private feeling that those rooms had.

Yeah - once we found out that the WL had honeymoon rooms, we changed our reservation from a standard room, to one of those! (And yes, we put in a request for one the rooms that faces the MK - we read in a Birnbaum's book of a room number, I think 7040? 7041? one of those...) Oh - and I heard the the WL honeymoon rooms have whirlpool tubs? Yeah - I'm NEVER leaving my room! hehehe I don't think we'll mind the "less private nature" of the WL hm rooms being on the conciege floor...FI and I are going to enjoy ourselves regardless...he'll drag me all over the parks before we even get 'private' time I think. heheheh

I don't think FI and I are really "GF" type people - yes, it's a beautiful resort, but I know I'D feel out of place...

**just that - yeah - we want to do the sunrise safari too!**

Yes there is a whirlpool tub in the WL honeymoon rooms - its so nice after a day at the parks!
