My DH and I left Kansas City on Sunday morning the day after our wedding. Plane trip was uneventful even though it seemed as though everyone was traveling on Sunday 10/16. We had a towncar service waiting for us at MCO and getting baggage and such was no problem. Lovely ride to POFQ.

Arrival at POFQ. Super-efficient check in much better than last year's 45 minute wait. Our room was ready and although we didnt get the building we requested (7) we did get the 3rd floor in building 1. I cannot say enough good things about our room, the view and Mousekeeping. We even saw towel animals!!!

We did the usual park things, MK, MGM and Epcot. We did several rides that we didn't have an opportunity to do last year. We were disappointed in some and enjoyed others very much. Disappointments include Soarin' (we saw it in DL in the spring and was in row 1 much better experience all around), Stitch (saw it in 99 as Alien Encounter much better). We liked Muppets 3D (bad seat but still very funny and engaging), Stunt Show at MGM (although we're not sure the replay value is there). We did the usual other rides and for some reason found ToT much better this time through (we did it 6 times). Maybe its because I actually had my eyes open sometimes.

We did the meal plan and ate really well. Only left 1 snack credit. Best of show includes The Yachtsman--best filet ever (with one exception) wonderful lobster bisque, and a good waitstaff. Le Cellier--practically dragged DH to this one and he loved it too! Excellent filet (see above), cheese soup, cheese tray and chocolate cake. Loved the Sci-Fi (I know we're in the minority here) Counter service (which we ate mainly at POFQ) was very good and efficient. Only down side was so much food!!! The one place we went to last year and loved (LTT) we really disliked this year. Bad waitstaff, poor food quality...I am thinking hit or miss. Maybe we'll try it again when I drag my DH back!

Overall really hot and muggy didn't do as much as planned but there is always next year.

DH and I were at POR the same time... but not our honeymoon. Did you wear the wedding ears? We saw quite a few honeymooners, taking the carriage rides etc. Glad you had a great time and Congrats!
My trip report is on here somewhere, and I think I mentioned the heat and humidity 6 or 7 times. I've been trying to get my DH to go to Le Cellier. We've tried most every other country. I'll convince him yet!

oh you are so right about le Cellier.......we go at least once during our visits....just made air ressies today for next April.....I can hardly wait and we are staying at FQ too. WE have been there at least five times and the same with Riverside......thanks again for your report and Congratulations

Thanks for the trip report, and congratulations on your new marriage.

HI!!! We are from Kansas City too and were just married (on Oct 1) actually in Prairie Village, with our reception at the Clubhouse on Blatimore. We too will be taking our honeymoon in Disney World, but not until December (I have class I can't miss) We will be staying at POR. Did your DH wear the ears, cause I am trying to talk mine into it. Congrats!!!
