Hi everyone! I am having a Disney wedding next year in January. I'm not sure which resort I should have my honeymoon. I realize someone else has the same concern as I do, but my honeymoon will be in January and maybe there's a difference for the winter months. Can I get some suggestions? I am considering concierge as well. Please give me your opinions. I just can't decide. Thanks!!

we stayed at the beach club for our honeymoon. i really liked it b/c it's near the boardwalk (jellyroll's and great restaurants) and our two favorite parks (epcot and mgm). it was great b/c epcot has so many great restaurants and we could just walk right over. :)

Perhaps if you gave us a short list (6-8 items) of what you're looking for in a honeymoon (size of room, ammenities, lots of park days, lots of in-room days, etc) we can help narrow down your choices. Because, frankly, any resort can be a great honeymoon resort. Just depends what your expectations are?

We had an octagon "turret" room at the GF main building RPC on our honeymoon... highly recommended...wouldn't have done it any other way if I could have.....

Congrats on your wedding - I'm really lookin forward to reading about your honeymoon plans!!!!! :) :) :)

We also want the octogon turret room in the GF for our honeymoon next June. Is there a way to reserve one of them specifically? We booked our trip a few months ago and they told us they can't guarantee turret or balcony room, just that we'll get one or the other since we booked honeymoon concierge. We toured a balcony room on our last stay there in January and it wasn't all that impressive so we really want the turret room. It just seemed like our Sago Cay dormer room had such a better lagoon view, and the honeymoon balcony room we saw had a view obstructed with trees and didn't seem worth it. Was the CM we spoke with wrong? Can you reserve a turret room?

We had an octagon room at the GF main building, and it was just beautiful! I'd love to see pictures of the other type of honeymoon room, though!
Cheers!

Congrats on yor upcoming wedding. Though I have only been to WDW once which was three weeks ago i have strong feelings about the two hotels my husband and I stayed out. AKL was just so beautiful!!! We had a savannah view and it was so romantic waking up and being able to sit on you balcony and have breakfast together with such a beautifl view. We had giraffes, zebras and other animals right in front of us. Our last nights we were at the POLY and what a beautiful resort! We were in the Tahiti building which was very quiet. We had a lagoon view which was beautiful- The beach wih hammocks are right outside and to the left is the GF Right across the lake you have the viw of the castle and to the right is the cont. We had such a fantastic time at both resorts and did not want to leave. Next time we go we will stay longer- we cannot wait to return. We decided to split our stay which was great it was like two vacations in one. Our intentions were to stay at those two resorts then our next trip we would try others- but after our stay and we did check out all the other deluxe resorts we will definately return to both!!!!! Though the other hotels were beautiful the styles just did not appeal to us.
