has anyone used Disney's jhoneymoon registry? how good is it?

I signed up recently and had a good time doing...but, my sister promtly burst my bubble by telling me how stupid it was and that no one would buy stuff off it for me. :confused3 Which is probably true, but it was fun to do and I got a free bag!!:rotfl:

We used the Disney Honeymoon Registry last year. They didn't offer the free bag back then, so I feel a little cheated. ;) I was very happy with the experience. It gave our friends and family members the option to choose whatever they liked best for us. The only snag we ran into was looking us up on the registry. It was hit or miss at times looking us up by name. We found that hitting the enter key after putting in our name-a message would say that the name was not found. But if using the mouse and actually clicking the enter button, it worked just fine. Other than that glitch, we loved using it and would recommend it to other brides & grooms. :thumbsup2

thanks for all your help I think I'm going to do it

I forget the code but you need that in order to get the free bag. However I think it may be on the main site.

BTW I love my bag

We did the honeymoon registry for our wedding and we loved it. We registered for various things and did many general fund requests too. We never reached the max... but we used it to pay for our rehearsal dinner and then some. Plus it's neat to be able to see whenever something is added, who it came from, and how much. That way we could send many of our thank you cards out before the wedding. :goodvibes

We enjoyed setting it up. No one has given towards it yet but we hope they will. I LOVE the bag.

Your sister is full of it! :rotfl: We didn't think very many of our guests would be interested in it, but they almost all were - even grandmas and other older relatives who aren't online had their Net-savvy relatives help them get us stuff off the registry!

One reason it may be so popular is there's no shipping charge on top of the cost of the gift and you don't have to worry about an item getting damaged or whatever. Plus, it's very easy to use - I wish all the weddings I'm invited to had a Disney Honeymoon Registry!

Oh good! I hope so!! We already have a house and don't really need much, so I hope people get stuff off it for us!!

We registered for a bunch of things on our Disney Honeymoon Registery. My girls threw me a surprise shower last month and so far we have $410.00 on it. We registerd for everything from kitchen items, scrapbook items, dinner for two at 1900 PF, mouseboat rides and christmas items.

I know we don't have to use all the money for things we registered for but we registered for thing we really want to do on our Honeymoon. I like the fact that don't have to use it all on your honeymoon. As we get annual passes from Disney I am sure we will be a few times during the year.

We're using it and love it. A bonus that hasn't been mentioned yet...if you buy YOURSELF 20-40$ whenever you have it to spare, it will add up before the wedding...so its kind of like a Honeymoon savings acct!

That's what we have had to start doing because since our local Disney Store closed. Well I know we could put money on our gift card on-line but I'd rather it be on our DisneyMoon card.

You beat me to the punch Oceangdds! I plan on doing the same thing. I intially started a registry for me and my DF to put extra money into between now and May 09. It's a great way to save for the trip, and so easy to do....if others give us gifts on it, it'll be an added bonus!

Your wedding doesn't have to be booked. All you need is a hotel reservation number. You don't even need to be getting married at Disney.

We're registered, but I didn't receive a free bag. Could someone tell me how to get one?

THANKS!
