Hello wonderful Disney people!

We've picked Disney for our honeymoon at the end of August/beginning of September. I haven't been since I was 8, and he's never been at all, so I'm looking for some help from the experts. We're staying at POFQ and did choose Deluxe Dining.

Do you have any "must" recommendations for us?

Thanks!

Not much of a WDW foodie so I will leave that to others, although my faves are Le Cellier, Rose & Crown and Mama Melrose's.

Take a carriage ride at either POR, FW, or WL. They are very romantic and loads of fun.

This is a splurge, but but would be a great night out - Dinner at House of Blues or Bongos or Wolfgang Pucks - somewhere on the West Side. Then go see Cirque du Soleil - either show, makes no difference. Then you can have a nice stroll through the West Side to Pleasure Island where you can have a nightcap at Raglan Road before retiring to your room and sleeping, because that is what all honeymooners do........ :rolleyes1

Make dessert reservations for the California Grill and watch the MK fireworks.

Watch the MK fireworks from the beach of the Poly.

Congrats and have fun!!!

My wife and I went to WDW for our honeymoon last October. I would recommend going to California Grill for dinner and timing it so that you're there for the fireworks at MK. That was one of our favored experiences. We also did steaks at Shula's at the Dolphin and had a great time. Shula's isn't exactly a romantic restaurant (unless you both like football) but it is dark and candle-lit and all of that. We enjoyed it.

One other thing that we did that was relaxing but still romantic was we went down to the boardwalk, got some boardwalk food, sat on one of the benches, and watched the Illuminations fireworks. The weather was perfect, it wasn't too crowded, and we enjoyed just sitting there together.

Good luck planning your honeymoon.

My husband proposed to me at V & A so we made a return trip there when we honeymooned in WDW 6 years ago. If you are into fancy dining and your budget allows, I would rec'd it!

During our honeymoon we went "all out" and got the Grand Plan, which is not available now but they have a similar all inclusive plan out I believe. We went fishing, did a fireworks cruise, parasailing and ate nearly everywhere (and came back ten pounds heavier). We also did the photo session in MK where a professional photog takes pics of you in the park and you get an album.

Hope you have as much as we did!

Sarah

Those are really great suggestions for ways to view the fire works. Dose anyone know around what time in September that they start the fireworks shows? Are they everynight? SarahAndMike, my husband and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at Disney in September and I was intrested in the photography session, do you know where is a good resorces to find out how much packages cost for this?

Thanks,

Bella
