We've finally decided to add a three night cruise onto our honeymoon, but as I've never really looked into it before, I have a number of questions:

1) How far in advance should we book? We are planning for the Dec. 4-7 cruise.

2) We want a verandah, but is the extra 200 worth it for a cat 6 over a cat 7?

3) Which restaurant should we miss for Palo? Do they have a brunch on the 3 night?

4) What time should you get there and what time can you expect to leave? (we are planning on flanking the cruise with universal before and wdw after.)

Thanks so much, as I'm sure these are all questions that have been answered before:)

Hello!
Since hubby and I have done 30 Disney cruises, we have a bit of experience to toss out some answers (but they are really just our opinions...you'll get some good and differing perspectives here):
1) Book as early as possible for early booking savings. If you book through DU, they will watch for the price to drop, and if it does, they will automatically change your ressie.
2) You might want to save some $$ and go with the "secret" Cat. 7 staterooms that have a regular plexiglass verandah instead of a navigators verandah. The reason they are priced as 7 is because of a slight obstruction. I have details and photos on my website at www.castawayclub.com
3) No brunch on the 3-day. Everyone has different tastes, so study the menus (I have those on my website too) to help you make your choice. My vote would be Animators to miss, but we've seen the show so many times...for new cruisers, you won't want to miss it. Of course, you can always do appetizers or dessert at your regular restaurant and schedule Palo earlier or later, depending on your dining time.
4) Boarding usually starts arounf 12:15, and the ship leaves at 5 p.m. You'll need to get there early if you want Palo or spa ressies.
