Honeymoon photo session vs. MK Photo session

I am wondering the difference between the honeymoon photo session and the MK photo session. I know you can't wear wedding attire for the honeymoon session but does anyone know if you still get to take pictures on the balcony of the castle?

I'm not sure about the honeymoon session but I just wanted to recommend the MK session - being in the parks early in the morning with no one else but us in our wedding sttire was pretty memorable - and when people see the pics they think we got married there There's a link to my photos in my sig if you fancy a look.

The castle balcony is not one of the standard locations for the honeymoon shoot. I think maybe they don't want the other guests trying to climb up there too! However, you do get to sit on the fenced off lawn on the Tomorrowland side of the castle, which I don't think they let regular park guests do.

Sorry to impose on your thread, but I was also debating whether to have the magic kingdom pics (gorgeous pics btw) and I was wondering if that was jimmy jonhson who's marrying you?

I've booked him and couldn't find anyone else that has used him, whats he like?

We've had 2 hooneymoon shoots (booked one session for our engagment pictures) and we didn't get too close to the castle either time.

The honeymoon shoot is a standard set of locations around the park including by the Jungle Cruise, where they had us put on Mickey safari hats (actually, that picture came out great for some reason...)

The pictures we had with us and the castle are all taken far way so that the entire castle can be seen - there were no close-ups against the bricks.

The best way I can think of to describe our honeymoon shoots is if you took one of those fold-out postcard booklets of the Magic Kingdom that they sell in all the gifts shops and imagine the two of you standing in each shot, that would be close to what you'll see.

We did have the added bonus of getting married in December, so we had lots of holiday decorations in ours as well. Probably our best shot in both of them was the two us taken on the Train Station platform with the castle in the background. Ours had the big Christmas tree in the shot, too.

Ha ha!!! I know! Can you imagine how entertaining (or not) that would be!!! I guess I will spring for the MK shoot. Your pics are great. Being a little on the cheap side I was hoping to save a few bucks there but ahhhh...sometimes a little luxury is well...expensive!!! Thanks!

Good to know. Thanks for the input. I bet you have some really fantastic pictures though. Who knows, maybe we will do both. Might as well! How many times do you get married at Disney anyway, you know?

Unfortunately, the MK photo shoot is exclusive to WDW brides only.
You cannot book it otherwise.

You can, however, book an MK honeymoon shoot & Epcot photo shoot (during regular park hours). I have also seen very lovely photo shoots done at the GF & the Poly. My guess is you could book one at DHS & DAK as well, I've just never seen anyone post about it yet.
