Hello, I am new to this site, but I didn't see this topic recently discussed. My soon to be husband and I will be honeymooning at Disney world the end of August. We are trying to find some really special things to do to make the trip memorable, and I would love to hear any suggestions from people who have done this before or know anything. We booked our vacation through the disney world resort line, but they said they didn't do anything special for honeymoons....
I find this really hard to believe, so I would love to hear about some nice things to do.

When I was planning my wedding/honeymoon, I didn't know much about WDW and all it had to offer...our celebration was to be our first ever visit. Keep in mind that whatever "extras" you get are entirely up to the specific Cast Members. While many of the brides here have gotten some wonderful "pixie dust" moments, just as many brides got very little. It just depends. Don't expect anything and everything you do get will be a wonderful surprise!;)

I visited the Theme Parks Attractions board and the Dining board to try to get some recommendations for some special ideas.

One thing to remember, as you are making all your dining reservations, be sure to mention that you are on your honeymoon. And mention it again as you are checking in at your hotel and all the restaurants. You may get some "extras."

Definitely try to wear the bride and groom ears and get the free buttons at Guest Services. You will get lots of congratulations and maybe some other "extras".

There are several tours you can do. We did the Around the World Segway tour and it was fantastic! There's a new segway tour that may be available at Fort Wilderness. There are lots of other tours too, like the Keys to the Kingdom tour and the Backstage tour.

Most of the deluxe hotels have a spa in them...you could book spa treatments for you and your DH2B.

I hope that helps some...I'm sure some others will give you more ideas too!

Congratulations and have a wonderful time!!

hello and congrats! i suggest using the "search" tool at the top of the page and type in "honeymoon ideas" etc. etc. this question is asked at least once a week so you should find tons of good threads! good luck

we have booked to go the Victoria & Albert for a romantic dinner,it is something we have always spoken about and we thought it would be great to do this on our honeymoon.:cool1:

We're honeymooning in November and I recently did a search for "honeymoon ideas" on these boards. I got lots of great ideas. I don't know how many we'll actually be able to do since we've never EVER been to disneyworld. We're going to make sure we see Wishes, FI has agreed to wear the ears for at least one day, the bride and groom buttons, and TA noted that it was our honeymoon in the reservations. We made sure we left one day (the last day) open and without ADRS to fit in any of the other things we didn't have time to do, or just make it a romantic, lay around and do nothing day! Going to such a busy place we wanted to make sure we didn't wear ourselves out!

I don't want to hijack this thread, but could someone please tell me where we can purchase the bride and groom ears? I recall hearing they were only available at one or two places, so I want to make sure my sweetie and I are prepared. We are hoping for lots of honeymoon pixie dust this August.:bride:

Thanks,

Thanks,

they are available at TONS of places. we stayed at the GF and got them in the gift shop, they are at a lot of shops in the parks, the world of disney at Downtown disney, etc. don't worr,y you will be able to find them easily!

Consider doing either a Wisher or Illuminations fireworks cruise. We did a Wished fireworks cruise and it was hands down the most romantic part of our honeymoon.
