Hello!!

I am getting married on April 30th and am currently booked at the Wilderness Lodge May 2 - May 8 in a woods view room.

I was referred to the Villas by another poster in another forum as a more reasonably priced, more relaxing, more romantic alternative to the lodge rooms.

I haven't been to Disney since I was a kid, and I don't know too much about these villas and how they work so bear with me please!

Can anybody tell me about availability on these dates (5/2-5/8) and what they would cost for rental? I used the points calculator and came up with 110 points for the dates in question. The poster who referred me here also recommended a studio, but I would like to explore all of the options that are available as far as size is concerned.

It would also be great if someone could fill me in on the details of the villas. Form what I have found in my research those who stay there are basically WL guests and have all the same access and benefits. I was wondering if this is true and what are the pors and cons of staying at the villas as opposed to the lodge rooms.

Are the villas nicely kept/clean/decorated? Are they accessible to transportation, pools, other things...etc...

Thanks

Steve, your research is correct, VWL receive everything that the WL guests receive, except for daily maid service (which we actually do not like-prefer DVC of "hands off"!) which is trash and towel day about 3 or 4 days into the vacation. So the lack of daily maid service is a pro for me and a con for others. Another pro is the ability to escape the hustle and bustle of the lodge and sit around at the villas. There are several quiet areas in both hotels, but the villas is quieter. Another pro is VWL is close to the bus stop, but the con is that it is further from the boat launch.

I have stayed at WL rooms and VWL studio and 1 BR. I think that the rooms are more nicely appointed at the villas than the lodge. Nicer furniture and fixtures. Just as clean as the lodge, no difference there.

VWL has a "quiet" pool which is quieter that the Lodge pool, but you can swim at either pool.

I am hopeful someone else will chime in here. I have no points to rent out to you, but best wishes!

I would suggest you start scanning through the threads of people who have points for rent and drop them an email or PM. People on these boards are great. Someone can check availability for your, let you know how many points you'd need, and suggest a price for your reservation.

Steve,

If you can swing it, get the one BR unit instead of the studio. True, with just the two of you, a studio would be perfectly fine, but if you can afford a little more, do it - IT'S YOUR HONEYMOON!! :lovestruc

The 1 BR has a wonderful jacuzzi tub and a large shower, not to mention the king sized bed.

Best of luck to you and the future Mrs.
