So i have been looking at the dining plan and I think I am really considering using it. At first I thought it wasnt going to be worth it for us, but the more I look into it the more I think it would be great and save us a ton of money.

We are staying a total of 7days. one the night before the wedding with my parents and then 4 days at BC with my DH. and then 2 more days at caribbean beach. We wanted to make at least 2 nice reservations for Ohana and Yachtsman steakhouse. I want to add on to the list and eat at the California Grill and possibly Cindys.

I am thinking that it will just be worth it to get the dining plan for the 4 day reservation we have at BC and make ADR for Ohana and Yachtsman.

The thing is is that we dont usually eat breakfast. Can we use the breakfast for something else?

Do you think it will be worth it? I think it will be estimated to $312 for the 4 days we will be eating. Is that worth it?

Here are a couple of suggestions. Since you will be getting annual pass vouchers I would suggest purchasing the Disney Dining Experience card instead. You will save 20% on all your food and beverage at a majority of the restaurants on property. The cost is $60 (this might have changed in recent months) which can be made back after your savings from a few meals. The great plus about this is that it can be used for up to 10 people in your party, so if you are having a welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, bridal tea, etc. you can save a lot of money too!

The dining plan gives you one counter service meal with a drink and dessert (this can be breakfast, lunch, whatever you want), one snack, and one sit down meal with appetizer and dessert per day. There is some flexibility you get so many credits on your card for the trip and can use two dinners for an upgraded option. I personally have only used this when it is a free option. We never spend anywhere near the amount of the cost any other time because it is so much food, we usually always use the Disney Dining Experience instead.

I'm not sure which is a better deal if you get the annual pass. We're honeymooning in August and I will never do Disney again without the dining plan. It allows us to go to the nicer restaurants and order anything we want.

Have a great time! :goodvibes

Do you think that will be a better savings? So do you mean i get the 20% off the counter service, the snack and the sit down (each day)?

Also, it is only $60 for one card you can use the whole trip or is it $60 a day to use for your trip?

The card is $60 and is good for an entire year, which is nice because it coincides with your annual pass. Plus, you only have to buy one since you can use it for multiple people.

There aren't a ton of the general counter service restaurants on it, however all of the food courts at the value resorts are included and ones at Animal Kingdom. Also, there are other cheaper sit-downs that are on the list. For instance, we always go to the Plaza at Magic Kingdom which has sandwiches, burgers, ice cream, etc. Meals are around $15 with drink plus you get the discount.

I have a list of the restaurants from 2005-06, I haven't bought my new card yet since I just got my annual pass vouchers a few weeks ago. If you want to me to send it to you just PM me your email.

A few other perks that vary are half off discounts to Pleasure Island and discounts on certain showings for the dinner shows like Hoop Dee Doo Review (or at least for 06 you got these perks.)

just one other thing thats worth a mention, you can get your dining card before you use your annual pass, you just need the number on the back. We already have our AP'S, but will not activate them until our wedding trip next May. However, we are going to Vero this November and will activate the Dining card then as it's also valid at the Vero beach resturants. We will save a lot of $$$ using this card for 2 vacations! I love the fact that drinks are also included in the 20% discount!!!!
