Carousel of Progresso!:rotfl2: Card 54 where are you?::cop: :lmao: You crack me up.
We were on our way home from leading a retreat this weekend, and the license plate on the car in front of us said NEBO 1. Been sneakin' into CA?

Moppetvision! IAMSorry! CAROUSEL OF PROGRESSO! Nebo, only you could bring Disney Magic to a grocery store trip. I am almost excited about having to stop by PetSmart after work today (That ain't kitty litter, it's pixie dust!!!) :rotfl2:

:lmao:  :teleport:

. I am almost excited about having to stop by PetSmart after work today (That ain't kitty litter, it's pixie dust!!!)

This is all too funny!

Hi all, just popping thru on the run...

:surfweb:

I was working on some pictures for my Mom....now it's time to run some errands~(Nope, still not working either - thank goodness for employed spouses)

:wizard:

OMG :rotfl2: My poor DS has a tummy bug and was sleeping on the couch next to me when I started to read this. I had to stop reading before I woke him up :lmao:

The end of the mop just speared this poor Japanese guy as I was on my way to ride Hartz Mountain.
Pinned him right up against the Friskies display, but I think he had NINE LIVES, cuz he wasn't hurt too badly when the whole KIT AND KABOODLE came down on him. Yes, I did tell him..............
........... (crap).......

IAMSorry.

Once again, I see on my list that I forgot something 12 aisles back, so I just left the cart with the Japanese guy hanging off the end of my mop and ran back to the soup aisle.
On the end cap, they had a huge rotating display so I grabbed a couple of cans from the Carousel of Progresso, and ran back to my cart.
Before I got on the ferry to go the the frozen food section known as Blizzard Quiche, it was time for a potty break, and I followed the signs to Winnie the Pooh. Then you take the main path all the way down to the ferry, which even has speed bumps to slow everyone down.

It was going over one of the speed bumps that I lost the Japanese guy, and justice was almost served to me, when I was almost run over by an old lady in an ECV, doing wheelies over the speed bumps.
They say there is a fine line between genius and mental illness, and I think you're standing on the line my friend :rotfl: :worship: :rotfl2:

You know, I just read my last post for the first time just now, and then the call outs. And no bout adoubt it, I was right. That chapter did look like a fourth grader wrote it. Hey, at least I lived up to my expectations. I do have to pat myself on the backs for one thing though. Did you see how incredibly diaboliquely clever I was to make it with a Disney slant, therefore keeping it "on topic?":lmao:

Nebo,

yep, loved it...you are an awesome writer! Loved all the Disney mentions.. see no matter what you write... your everyday life must be a hoot... oh, and happy 30th.

I am so glad you and Diane came back from the "break" I cant imagine a more fun couple.. I could so see us sitting, grilling, visiting and drinking.. oh and tons of laughter!!!

Bee

That sounds like an excellent idea. Now, all we need is for you to open up another tavern/cafe, down in central florida, hire Smidgy as a bar manager, I'll run the karaoke on friday nights, and we can do all the above while making money from all the tourists. And of course our local regulars. Hmm, that was you that owned a place like that for a while, wasn't it? :cool1:

Thanks for the tip Nebo:thumbsup2 I will give it try when I am down there in July.

Hmm, tip, ah yes the TIP! You're talking about Hail to the Chief in the fifth race at Arlington?

Nebo, that was funny! I especially liked the Winnie the Pooh restroom break :rotfl:

And you better not be done yet! i know you have many more stories in store.

Or else, just make some up, OK?

Make something up?
MAKE SOMETHING UP?

You gotta be restrooming me! What, did you think that last chapter came right out Weekly World News?
Alltogether now......

Geesh!

:rotfl2:

Hi Nebo, how are you?

Mr Silly and I just got back from a long trip to Greece. We are tan and flat broke now. Photos here, but we only have the first 1/3 up right now: Photos of old stuff here

Cool, Haley is back. And Greece? What is it with everybody leaving the states lately? You guys in Greece, Winkers in England, Philadisney in Ireland, I remember when we all used to go to DisneyWorld. So tell me, did they finally get around to fixiing the Parthenon and the Coliseum yet? They were starting to look really rundown. And did mr. silly keep his toe in one piece this time? Nice to see your words again Haley. You need to go back a couple of chapters to the special Distionary I posted here, I'll bet you have a few "entries' yourself to round it out.

That was great, Nebo! I can't imagine what we'd eat if DH did the grocery shopping...oh, yeah, ramen noodles, hot dogs, frozen burritos...

Happy 30th anniversary! Our 13th is on Tuesday!

That's great Hoogy, wait, that might be one of ours too!, I'll have to check.
By the way, I used to buy the Cup of Noodles all the time, until one day I just got so sick of them, and haven't bought them now in a year. But Hot dogs are always on my list, never get sick of them. Lately my big thing has been Poppers, and Taquitos, with sour cream.

Carousel of Progresso!:rotfl2: Card 54 where are you?::cop: :lmao: You crack me up.

Wow Danielle, what a great plate. And thanks for getting the Card 54 where are you, I thought that would just fall on younger ears. Oh, and um, is "leading a retreat" some sort of pleonasm? Or oxymoron if you will, kind of like "back to the future?" To be honest, I have never been further west than Colorado Springs, and that was when I was 20, and the Donner party had just gone through there. We'd still love to try Disneyland someday,,, hopefully,,,,,

Funny you should mention that. I just changed two boxes of Pixie Dust just this morning, and boy did they stink!

OMG :rotfl2: My poor DS has a tummy bug and was sleeping on the couch next to me when I started to read this. I had to stop reading before I woke him up :lmao:

They say there is a fine line between genius and mental illness, and I think you're standing on the line my friend :rotfl: :worship: :rotfl2:

Why thank you Chelli, that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me.

Aw, man... is it over? I am waaaaaaaaay back on page 47! I've got a lot of catching up to do! :headache:

No Lbaw, we aren't quite done yet, but close, unless more stupid ideas pop into my head, since I don't have another trip report in the making due to a severe LACK OF TRIPS! And if you had kept up with the class, you wouldn't have to be going to summer school now to make it up! You just think about that young lady when all your friends are going to the beach, and you have to sit in a stuffy classroom reading about the ambulance ride Smidgy and I took to the hospital after thwarting the terrorist attacks at French Quarter. :scared1:

On a different side note here;
I would like everybody to keep Monica and her husband in your prayers, I believe yesterday was his surgery date, and we all need to pray for a full recovery. Yes, it probably wasn't my place to mention this here, I guess I took liberties just now, but I know how much you all care for her, and thought I would share that with all of you who didn't know.

Make something up?
MAKE SOMETHING UP?

You gotta be restrooming me! What, did you think that last chapter came right out Weekly World News?
Alltogether now......

Geesh!

Hey, I wasn't going to rat you out! Looks like you just did it yourself.

Geesh!

OhMari, you did NOT see those posts!!!

restrooming you??????? :cool2::rotfl: :lmao:

Nebo, don't you have some history of the Dis stories to post? Like when you were a teen and went with your parents, or when you took your kids? Or that lovely honeymoon you and Smidgy took to DW? Or that makeup trip after you got back together?

(Smidgy, your chance to insert your favorite "memories" here)

Reunited and it feels so good!!!!!! I feel some Karaoke in that post!

Remember those times??????????? (where is the hynosis smiley when you need it?)

PrincessV posted history of the Dis reports, and if she did, so can you!

Gosh... I guess a "we missed you" OR "we wondered where you've been" OR even a simple little "where the heck have ya been?" was too much to hope for. *sniff* I consider myself properly scolded and will head straight to the corner now. *hangs head in shame* :worried:

Can I come out when I catch up? :hyper:

Oh... and lots and lots of pixie dust for Mony's DH... I hope everything is okay! pixiedust:

Yes, I owned and operated a bar in a small town. It was a great learning experience. But, glad it is over. I think I would like the other side of the bar better... it is Way more fun.

Maybe, when I am FREE from all the drama I should visit the Chicago area.. never been there...

Yes, prayers to Mony... She is sooo sweet ... I guess I didnt realize what was going on.. MONY... LYMI>

Later..

write on my friend, write on.

Sorry, I'm behind, don't tell Nebo.

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

My DH was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer earlier this month.

PSA ALERT

If you or a loved one ever has blood in the urine with no pain AND even if it only happens just once.

Run to the Dr. Get totally checked out. Kidney cancer is one of those cancer's that just hangs out with no signs or symptoms. If you catch it early, all that's usually required is surgery and no follow up treatments.

So, stay sharp!

Anyways, long story short.

In his case they found a solid mass tumor (9cm) on his right kidney and they are going to remove it, his kidney. There was no other cancer detected anywhere else.

Surgery was scheduled for Monday, but there was some issues with the dr's and his surgery was moved to this Friday. So if you could still think of him then, I'd be forever greatful and promise to always bug Nebo for you all and get him over to the other side to post! He promises too!

I have to admit that while I was in Ireland, I kept comparing it to Epcot U.K. :rotfl:

Monica,

Prayers and Pixie Dust to you and DH for a speedy recovery!

Here's more prayers for the surgery tomorrow, Monica! I didn't know all that was going on. I'm so glad cancer wasn't detected anywhere else! :grouphug:

PSA

Message from Mony:

Her husbands' surgery went well. They had to open him up, which means he is in the hospital for week or so. They had hoped for a less invasive kind. But the doctor was confident they got all of it.

I am sure she will fill in details later.

She asked me to update you all on this

On behalf of Monica, we thank you for all your concerns. (yes, I'm here unofficial spokesman). And that is why I am dedicating this almost, maybe, final chapter to her and Tim.
Oh, gack! (picture her reading this with her finger in her mouth)

I just wished I had something good, but I've kind of shot m,,,,,used it all up.

Ok, in summary, it is friday night, we have just returned from the MK, Wishes was at six and then they kick us out for MNSSCP. (that's Mickey's not so Scary Christmas Party.)

We had five days at Music, and now five days at FQ, and we leave early Sunday morning.

By the way, did I mention that we recently had a fire here in town at a thrift store? Two people were sent to the hospital for second hand smoke.
:rolleyes1

sorry.

Oh, and also off topic, we need some new bar stools for our breakfast bar, so I was sent over to Menard's to check out new ones. Well, I came back empty-handed, and the conversation went something like this,,,,

Di: Didn't like the stools there Steve?
Me: Don't know.
Di: What don't you know?
me: If they were any good or not.
di: Why not?
me: They threw me out before I could see them.
di: Ok, care to explain?
me: Honest, that's what happened, I asked where they were, and they through me out!
DI: Ok, From the top, exactly what did you say?

Me: I just went up to the girl and asked her if she had any recent stool samples to show me.

DI: Of course you did!

I never say the right thing.

Fine, we are now back at FQ, and I am still in drinking mode, it's dark out, a little on the chilly side, and I start putting on my bathing suit.

"Steve, what are you doing?"
"C'mon, let's go for a bubble swim."

No, I don't normally do pools at night, I need SUN! But hot tubs are a different story.
It's amazing how a few drinks and vikes and 105 degree water can make you drool when you don't even know it! Actually, when we got there, it was pretty crowded with kids, but after giving each of them the evil glare, they mostly all soon scrammed. AN hour and a half later, almost nine o'clock, and it was time to change again and go eat.

You have to understand, I am not like a woman. I don't like change.
Especially when it comes to changing clothes, and so far today, this is a real workout.

I got dressed in the morning for KTTK, changed into a suit after, got dressed again to go back to the park, changed into a suit again, now I have to do it all once again. geesh.

Only this time I have to do it while drooling.

Damn bubbles.

Plus, my brain is still in "end of trip" mode, and we have to do everything that we can. So, even though we love the food court here, and have even in the past taken the boat or walked from Riverside just to eat here, I want to do it in reverse this time. I think it was the Jambalaya I had on my mind this night, and Diane went along with me. So we head down to the boat ramp to go to Riverside.

As we get close, I see a boat has just pulled in, so of course Smidgy starts running for it, while I just loped along a little faster. Nope, nope, nope, not wasting THIS Manhattan for a boat ride. Well, even just loping, half of it went up my nose, but I did finish it in time.

Great, now my nose is running AND I'm still drooling.

The woman captain saw us coming and waited for us.

What a dummy!

I was in fine form.

I jumped onto the boat, and as she was untieing it I said,,,

me; Hold it, you are going to Riverside, right?
her; Well, yes, you're lucky, we could have been going the other way to Pleasure Island,,,,,,,,and then she started it.

her; Next time, Look, before you leap.
me; Ah, but he who hesitates, is lost.
her; Never jump to conclusions.
me; But the early bird get's the worm. (yeah, I wasn't ready for this right now)
her; (and now she has stopped untieing the boat, is standing there thinking with everybody else wondering what in the heck we are talking about),
her; Everything comes to him who waits.

me: Wow, good one. Ok, First come, first served. (yeah, it was lame, and she knew it too)

her; Are we finished sir?
I looked at Diane, she nodded her head.
me; Yes, you win, I know when I'm beat. Damn bubbles. Make me drool.
her; Thank you, now please take a seat, you were a good adversary.

me; Yeah, right, that's very heartworming to me.

And we went and sat down.

Diane said, "did you just say what I think you said?"

"What, I said it was very hearwarming talkint to her, that's all."

"Yeah, right.'

The rest of the evening was uneventful, had my Jambalaya that only made my nose run more, but by now at least the drooling stopped. When we got off the boat in front of FQ, we just wandered around a bit to appreciate the resort.

Then we end up with this moron's picture taken.

meatfq003.jpg

Which then turned out a lot better once a little added scenery came into the shot.

usatfq002.jpg

Then it was bedtime for Bonzo.
And Bonzette.

Saturday, final day, and nebo is morose. It's a shame, cuz this was the day that wasn't given. We were supposed to leave this day, but I was able to somehow add the extra day, but my thoughts are allready on the drive home, have to find work, you know,,,,, all the crappy things in life.

Plus, it was uneventful.
We started out by the pool for a spell, then for some reason we decided to end out trip at MGM. See the Lights one more time.
We got there in the afternoon, did Great Movie Ride for the 100th time, and ended up sitting for Beauty and the Beast.

We love that show, and it took us years before we ever saw it.

beautyandbeast002.jpg

Only this time, a strange feeling came over me. Yes, in the past I have almost been in tears on the last day,,,,, but this time,,,,,,

Ok, I'm out of work, I'm out of my head, out of some respect I'm out of bread. I'm underloved I'm underfed, I want to go hooooooome.

Sorry, seventies song lyrics intruded, by the way, that's from "It never rains in California" by Albert Hammond, a one hit wonder.

Anyway, I'm watching the B and the B show and I just flash lived the last year of my life.
A wonderfull trip in may at Hard Rock Hotel, CBR and Coronado,,,,,then a "screw it all trip two days after the company closed. Followed by the Riverside meet the Dissers, with Melinda and Disneydad and Utahmama and the rest,,,,, and now this trip. Loved meeting Jill and John and Kim, and Longneck (emily) and her dad, Hagrid. By the way, we did see them that day at MGM, at the Backlot, we got a couple of burgers, and as we were sitting downstairs, Diane noticed a girl waving from up by the counters. Yeah, that was it, just the wave thing, and we finished out the night by walking through the Osbourne lights once again.

"Steve, it's snowing out."
"No Diane, it's "soaping" out"

Geesh?

Nebo,

You arent allowed not to have another trip planned, when you are about done with this report.. :rotfl:

I am soooooo glad to hear that the news for Monica is good.:grouphug:

Anyway..

write on.. dear friend... write on.
