Glad to hear I'm not the only one that likes TTA.

Look forward to more of that promised food porn. ;)

I did enjoy the TTA. It was our first time riding on it. Hopefully we will get a chance to ride it again in April with the kids. It was a nice break from the walking.

I left you all enjoying the view of Jack :lovestruc

After the Pirate Tutorial, we headed out toward Main Street as I wanted to browse the shops before we left. We didn't get much shopping time in last trip. We stopped into the Main Street Bakery for an ice cream sandwich to share. These things are huge and sooo yummy! I wish I had taken a picture of it. As we were sitting inside eating our snack, the 3pm parade had started and we were able to see it from inside the bakery. After eating, we did our shopping and then said goodbye to

:sad1:

We took the resort ferry boat back to the Polynesian since it had just pulled up. The park was closing tonight at 7pm for the Halloween party, which we were not going to. Tonight we had dinner reservations at 7:10 at
100_1224.jpg

in the Contemporary. Since we had time to kill, we went swimming in the quiet pool for awhile and then headed over to the volcano pool to try out the slide and then get a drink. We sat on the beach relaxing before dinner. I loved just spending time like this at the resort. It truly made the vacation enjoyable.

We went back to the room to shower and get ready for dinner. We hopped on the monorail and took it to the Contemporary. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving. We both ordered smoothies for our drinks again. They brought out bread with butter that had Hawaiian sea salt on it (I thought the sea salt was nasty). Keith ordered the braised lamb shank (very tender and delicious).
100_1229.jpg

I had the cinnamon-rubbed grilled pork tenderloin. One piece of this was very tender, the other more dry. The sides served with it were delicious though.
100_1228.jpg

For dessert Keith had the assorted sorbets.
100_1231.jpg

And I had the creamy indulgence.
100_1230.jpg

The desserts were OK, but I wouldn't choose them again.

After dinner we went back to the Poly and got a couple of drinks from the Tambu lounge. I got a glow cube martini and Keith got something with a light up tinkerbell. The bartender laughed and said it was just wrong to put Timberbell in with alcohol, but did it anyway.

We went out to the beach to enjoy our drinks and watch the fireworks. They didn’t start right at 9pm. We did end up seeing the electric water parade though.
100_1242.jpg

Just as we were getting ready to head back to the room, the fireworks started. It was really nice to watch them from the beach. We went to bed shortly after as we had a long day.

I left you with Wishes from the Poly beach............................

The next day we were headed to
100_1252.jpg

Since we didn't have the kids, we had no touring plan whatsoever, just do what we wanted with no schedule. We slept in until 9am this morning; DH thought something was wrong with me as I hardly ever sleep in. I think I would have slept in longer if he hadn’t woken me. We got up and got dressed and took the walking path to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot. It is a nice ride over there on the monorail. We went into the park and headed to
100_1256.jpg

We got FP’s and then got in standby which was at 25 minutes. It took that long to get through the queue. In one section of the queue, there is an interactive game everyone gets to play. That was kind of neat to do as we didn’t get to see in this last time.

After Soarin’ we left the land pavilion and stopped for a pretzel to share since we hadn’t had breakfast (1 snack credit). We also got a soda, but paid separately for it so they didn’t charge as a snack credit. We headed to the World Showcase since it was now after 11am. We started with Canada, looking in the shops and ending up watching the O’Canada movie. It was an interesting movie to see plus it was air conditioned.

100_1266.jpg

We then moved onto England where we had lunch
100_1273.jpg

It was good fish, but they do give you a lot of food. The dessert on the DDP is a package of shorbread cookies. We saved those for the kids.

100_1268.jpg

We sat at the tables overlooking the lagoon. After lunch we explored the shops in England.
100_1271.jpg

Next up was France. We explored some of the shops, watched the France movie and then visited with Princess Aurora as she didn’t have much of a line. I told her that Alex talked all about her kiss and she said to make sure that Alex visits her again soon and to tell him hello, which I thought was really sweet. I was going to buy some wine in France, but couldn’t decide what to get, so I passed.
100_1281.jpg

We also looked in the bakery and drooled over the goodies in there. Too bad I wasn’t hungry because that stuff looked yummy!!
100_1282.jpg

Of course we had to get a Grand Marnier Slushie to share.

100_1291.jpg

Next up was Morocco where we explored the shops and also checked out the counter service restaurant. It smelled really good and we might try it next trip.
100_1299.jpg

100_1292.jpg

100_1296.jpg

In Japan, we shopped and also had a glass of plum wine with the plum in it. It was really good, but I was glad we shared the glass as it does have a kick to it. We bought some snacks here for the boys. DS has informed me on our next trip he is going to spend his souvie money on snacks all around Epcot. :rotfl:

This is one of my favorite pictures:

Up next was the American Adventure. We went inside and were able to see the Voices of Liberty. We skipped the American pavilion last time so this was new to us. Their singing brought tears to my eyes. They did such a wonderful job and were very entertaining. After their show, it was up the escalator to see the show.
100_1311.jpg

When this was over, we moved onto Italy where we checked out the shops. Here we bought a bottle of wine for the cruise.
100_1317.jpg

In Germany, we did more browsing and bought some German wine for the cruise as well. The food here smelled so good! We had dinner reservations so we didn’t want to fill up on other foods. I'm sure we got a beer here though. Is there anything better than German beer?
100_1320.jpg

I don't remember where this was at, I if I had the $$$ and a place to display it, it would be mine!!
100_1321.jpg

After Germany we passed through the African Outpost and onto China. We didn’t explore China too much as we had really explored here in April. We saw Mulan with no line, so we got our pics taken. She wasn’t very friendly, must have been having a bad day. :confused3 After China was Norway where we rode Maelstrom with a short wait of 10 minutes. I looked in the bakery there and that food looked yummy as well.
100_1331.jpg

It was time to head to our dinner reservations at
100_1343.jpg

I hadn’t planned out our touring very well as we had a long way to back track to get to dinner at Chefs de France.

For dinner we had ice tea to drink. Our waitress was very nice and was trying to teach us a few French words. Her accent was very strong and you had to listen carefully to understand her. She brought us our bread and butter. We ordered French onion soup to share, which was delicious.
100_1340.jpg

We love french onion soup and this did not disappoint!

We both ordered the grilled tenderloin which was good, but definitely overpriced.
100_1344.jpg

For dessert Keith had the chocolate cake which was very rich.
100_1348.jpg

I had the apple crepes with vanilla ice cream which was fantastic! I would eat there again just for this dessert!
100_1347.jpg

We also saw:
100_1339.jpg

Our total bill here was over $100; good thing we were on the dining plan! Definately a good deal on the DDP. We did pay for the soup OOP.

I'll continue later with the TR.................say tuned for the rest of the day. :goodvibes

We were at WDW at the same time in September! Boy was it HOT! But we had a blast. We keep going back and forth about staying at the Poly. I have to say that your description and pictures have made me consider staying there now. Thanks for the awesome trip report!:cool1:

I really liked going in September. It was less crowded than in April and the weather was still beautiful. I don't think it rained at all while we were there.

The Poly is beautiful! Twice now we were going to stay elsewhere and twice now we have booked it............... I swear I'm going to try other resorts. :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

I left you all drooling over dinner at Chefs de France......................

After dinner we decided to skip going back to Mexico (we still haven't explored Mexico. Next trip we need to start there!). Instead we were going to head over to
100_1355.jpg

On our way over to TT, we stopped in Mousegears as I wanted to use our last two snack credits on something to take back to the boys. I ended up getting them each a football shaped rice crispy treat that was covered in chocolate. I had a bite of it when we got home and it wasn’t very good. I had a hard time finding something to use the SC on. Everything I thought would count, didn't.

We then went to Test Track where standby was a 10 minute wait. Afterwards they were offering a name your price on the pictures, but we didn’t want to stand in line to purchase ours (I had taken a red neck photo from the screen).
100_1360.jpg

We were ready to leave and decided not to stay for Illuminations as it had been a long day (we still haven't see Illuninations.........maybe one of these trips). We stopped in to ride Spaceship Earth as we didn’t do this in April either.
100_1362.jpg

100_1364.jpg

100_1367.jpg

We really enjoyed this ride and the photos at the end had us cracking up! We checked out some of the games they had in the exit area and then made our way to the monorail. Unfortunately I missed seeing where you get on and we ended up outside of the park and had to go back in and then get on the monorail. The security guy even looked in our bag again!

Back at the Polynesian, we applied our Disney reward dollars to our account and then we went to the Tambu Lounge so I could get my lapu lapu as they had run out of pineapples the night before. This drink is strong!! We took our drinks back to the room to enjoy and then to bed. Ok, I could have very well passed out after drinking this, but I don't remember. :lmao:

100_1368.jpg

Our bill was underneath our door in the morning so we didn’t have to do anything to check out. Since I was awake early, I woke Keith up so we could shower and get dressed. We had a cruise to get to!! I packed up everything while he showered. We then left everything in the room and went to Captain Cooks for breakfast using our last counter service credit. I had the Tonga toast, coffee and water.
100_1370.jpg

Keith had the breakfast sliders, coffee and juice.
100_1371.jpg

The tonga toast was good, but rich. Keith said his sliders were not very good. We went back to the room to grab our stuff and head back to Tampa. I had to rearrange the suitcases for the cruise.

That is the end of our Disney portion of our Anniversary-moon. I really loved going this time of year. There were hardly any crowds. I also liked the leisure way we toured the parks as well. If anyone is debating if they should leave the kids home and do an adults-only trip, I highly recommend it. It was wonderful to spend time just the two of us again. And we got to feel like kids too!

Great TR! And I'm loving your pictures.

Thanks for sharing the ones of the POLY, it brings back lots of wonderful memories. DH and I were married there back in 2001 !

I've never actually stayed there, but we were married there. :goodvibes

I look forward to more updates. ;)
