Hi everyone,

We've used Tiffany Towncar twice so far, and we're looking to try FL Tours. Tiffany is ok, they're timely, but they were not too friendly when I called to make the reservations.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. But I wanted to see if any other limo/cab service was good.

Thanks!:teeth:

I've heard all good about FL Tours, altho I haven't used them.
My only small gripe is that they add the tip to the limo service fee. I like to be the one to decide on the tip, since a tip is supposed to be a gift for good service.

I've used FL tours twice and had great service both times. Once we used a van (had 5 of us) other time town car the tip was not added in. This maybe different for a limo.

We used FL Tours around this past Christmas and New Years. Here is the breakdown for us (scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best).

From MCO to VWL ...... a 10! Driver and vehicle (luxury van) were both awesome. The driver was very polite AND friendly to the kids (it didn't hurt when he put Finding Nemo in the DVD!)

From VWL to MCO ...... an 8! Different driver, different van, different attitude. He gets that high of marks because the bottom line is, we arrived at MCO in plenty of time for our return flights.

Overall score.................. a 9!

We will be using them on our next trip to WDW.

I used Fl Tours for the first time last summer. Actually that was the first time I had ever used a "car service".

I absolutely loved them; the service and the driver! :) The company sent me a "reminder about my vacation" e-mail a week I think before the flight. They called me the day before the return pick up. The driver was right on time for the pick up at the airport and the return trip. He was more than accomodating for the grocery stop.....what can I say???

I'll definately be calling them again when the time comes for this July trip.

Another thumbs up for FLTours. We just used them this February also!! I also arranged an inbetween trip to Universal which was perfect! It's also nice to support the sponsors of these great boards! You will not be dissapointed.

This is our first trip, so I haven't had personal experience with any of the towncar services in Orlando. I didn't, however, like the gruff response I got the last time I called Tiffany to make a change to our reservations. I was actually going to add an additional leg to our trip, thus, they would be getting more out of me. I got the impression from the office staff that I was inconveniencing them in some way. After reading so many great reviews on FL Tours, I decided to give them a call. I spoke with Andy who politely answered all of my questions. Needless to say, I'm canceling with Tiffany and have switched to FL Tours. I understand that sometimes the person on the other end of the phone may be having a bad day but it's not the first time I hear (read) about rude staff at Tiffany. Sorry, but good customer service is important to me and I'd rather pay a little more for it than deal with a bad attitude.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a great trip!:D

I am glad to hear about all the good things about FL Tours!

I just booked them for our upcoming trip this summer.

We just used them for the first time last month, and had no problems at all. Very professional, clean cars, and received a phone call to let us know they hit traffic and were going to be a little late. I would use them again for sure.

Booked them for our Easter trip based on recommendation on this board. Really looking forward to it-we usually rent a car at the airport and drive to WDW (DH is looking forward to viewing the scenery this time). Do they add the tip into the fee already? I can't remember reading that.

I called Monday to ask a few questions before booking. The man that I spoke to was very short with me. Almost to the point of being rude.

After speaking with him, I crossed FL Tours off the list.

We too loved FL Tours for our honeymoon and side trip to Universal. We will definitely use them again this November!

We used FL tours last year for the first time and they were great !!
I actually..... when making the reservation....... put in the wrong yr. I e-mailed them a couple of days before wondering why I had not gotten a confirmation. That's when they told me I had put down 2004 instead of 2003 but told me it would be no problem. Andy picked us up and he was wonderful. We are using them again this year.

Thanks for the imput! I think we're gonna give them a try.

DISNEYJUNKIE, sorry to hear bout your experience. :(

Thanks for the info! We're gonna call them tomorrow and see.

I just made my online reservation for another company (to use the sedan) - and was suprised to see all the hidden fees. $5.00 airport surcharge, $2.00 tolls, $2.00 tolls for return trip, $10.00 tip, and $10.00 tip for return trip. On an $80.00 fare, that is a 25% tip - alot more than they would've normally gotten out of me!!

Would you please comment on these charges. Is this to be expected?

Thanks!

Hidden fees should not be expected.......

If you go to Fl Tours and get a quote for a towncar - that is what you will pay.

The only thing ever added (for Limo only, not towncar or van) is the tip.

Tipping for the towncar or Van service is at your descretion - usually around 15% - 20%

I guess I was kinda put-off by their website. After reading everything, I saw where the tip is added to the limo service. I try not to use ANY company that automatically adds in a tip (I even hate it when restaurants do that with large parties). To me, that says that their limo service isn't up to par, and they wouldn't ever get tips if they didn't add it in.
Now, that might NOT be the case, but let ME decide who gets a tip......and how much. When it's automatically added to the price, it's no longer a "tip", it's then a "surcharge". Maybe that's just me, but they lost my business because of that. AND, it's not the money issue (because if service is good, I'd likely tip more than their surcharge anyway), it's just a matter of principle.

Also, after reading their site, it appears that they're trying to rush you out of the airport so they don't have to pay an extra $5 in the parking garage. Now maybe this doesn't actually happen, but it's listed on their website.......so..........with everything else being equal, I'll happily chose another limo company -- one who treats their clients like adults and doesn't tell them how fast to walk or how much to tip their driver, etc.

It sounds like, if all you want is a towncar or van, they might be OK........but, given the above facts, I just have to wonder about the company overall. Maybe they're great (?).
