Honda CR-V help

We are a big time Honda family having owned 7 different vehicles. So LOVE Honda! We had the CRV model prior to this newest model and loved it. Great little SUV type, fun to drive, pretty good on gas. We went from that to a Pilot to a Civic (in the gas crisis :goodvibes) and then most recently looked again at the new CRV's. But after driving it we went with the Accord sedan. Totally different type of car but it is way more comfortable, and actually has more cargo space in the trunk. The back seat is much more comfortable for passengers as well. You cant go wrong with any kind of Honda though.

I have a 2009 CRV. Its fully loaded/leather, sunroof, heated seats, 2 wd. its only a 4 cylinder.
I looked at all the similar small suv's...but it was between Toyota Rav and the CRV. I wanted a car that would hold its value. I didn't like the tire on the back of the RAV and the new CRV's finally put the spare in the cargo area. I like the sleeker look.

I like the car and get compliments on it. Its my first honda, but my DH had an accord in the past and drives a civic now. I came from the Nissan Murano (LOVE that car)....so....it is a big difference for me. The Murano is much more car and more luxury all the way around. but...I needed a cheaper car and the CRV fit that bill.

It is a good reliable car. The ride is a little rough for me and the road noise is too...but remember i was in luxury car before with NO noise and smooth ride. Oh and after being in a V6 its sluggish...but I am used to that now...and I drive like a granny anyway. :)

I have about 7k miles on it in 18 months...and have had no problems at all.

Its cute, reliable, and holds it value. that is what I wanted. Oh gas..in town I get about 19-20 with the a/c on...which is almost always in Phoenix.

oh ps...the heated seats are the BEST !!!!!!:goodvibes

Own a 2006. Had the problem with the differentail fluid thing. Headlight blew within a year. The light on the dashboard stating that the hatchback door is open would not go off when I drove it off the lot. Other than that just regular maintenance (oil brakes and tires). The one thing I hate is that the taxes are terrible on it. My son has a 2008 hyundai and I pay a lot more than he does. Also the mileage is not that great for a 4 cyl car (compared to the 2008 Hyundai elantra). With regard to the Toyota I would never own one after the recalls that just happened recently. It irritates me that the owner of Toyota blamed all of the drivers. He said that it was driver's error that the gas pedal kept getting stuck (even though it was in the 1,000's)

Replaced my 1995 Civic with over 300k miles to a new 2004 CR-v. I get 300 miles to a tank. Over 150K miles on the car now. Just put on my 2nd set of tires and battery. Get the oil checked every 10k. I have mechanics tell me that as long as you do the maintenance on Honda's they will last forever.
I did have the I had the hatchback light issue and the dealer put a little balck nubby thing on the arm of the hatch and solved the problem. I do go through a lot of head lamp bulbs.:confused3

I have a 2004 CRV that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I plan to buy a new one in two more years. We've replaced the tires twice, mostly due to lots of driving. I've had the brakes (can't remember if it was front or rear) replaced as well. We do regular maintenance - did a 60K service last year and DH changes the oil for me. It is a GREAT car. I have 4wd version, but plan to just go with a 2wd in the future.

I love the CRV - but the only problem I had when buying in 2006 was that the Honda Odyssey got much better mileage! The Ody has variable cam management which means it drops down to 3 cylinders when that's all that is needed. As I'm usually on flat highways it really makes a difference.

The Ody is a great car and has been so useful for me transporting my stuff to New Orleans post Katrina. I hope they've improved the CRV mileage.

The 2000 CRV had 13 (or 14)" wheels on it, and the tires wear like a dream. Wish I could put them on mine, though I do love the look of the 17s they use now

Okay. I didn't know that. I'm glad I have the older ones since they last so long.
