So I have decided it is not worth $3-400 to stay at PVI, so it is between Homewood and Embassy South. Embassy South is $100 more total. The only real benefit $ wise would be the one night (MOnday) we could partake in the HW's meal. Other than that, it comes down to which is nicer and where would you rather stay. Both have the king suites I am looking for w/DH and kids 9 & 7.
THanks for any info:)

i have not stayed at either of these places in Anaheim- but I have styed at Embassy suites in SF... I would choose Embassy- I saw reviews on trip advisor and homewood does not looks so good. Embassy offers bf and eve recp... and is nicely decorated. Hope that helps.

We LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Embassy Suites South. The place itself is awesome, very well layed out and designed. Their bedding and beds are top notch, and they are very clean and well maintained. Their beds and bedding and rooms are far, far better than the disney hotels (even at Grand CA).

You seriously cannot find a better breakfast ANYWHERE. The atrium is a huge cafeteria and breakfast is a huge affair, not some rinky dink thing. You can get pretty much anything you want at breakfast, and we often take muffins, bananas, apples, bagels, etc for snacks later in the day. They also have an evening reception every night with free alcohol, soda, and snacks there.

The service is great there. The ART bus stops right in front of the resort and it's just a couple minute ride to the park. It's fantastic.

We stayed at Homewood last May (2011) and had a great experience.

The staff was very nice, rooms were clean, beds were comfy, rooms were huge (plenty of room for our pack-n-play), kitchen in room was great, free breakfast was nice, loved the manager reception. It is across the street from Target which was convenient.

For me the best part of staying there was the dedicated shuttle w/ specific times. There was never any question of when the last shuttle arrived or when it would be leaving. If there are a ton of people waiting the hotel must have called someone because two always showed up. They driver helped fold and store our strollers.

We stayed at another hotel that had ART in December and it was a bad experience. They were so inconsistent. Sometimes they would be back to back and other times you waited forever. Once we waited over an hour for the ART to arrive at our hotel. Wasted time and hard w/ little ones who are excited about getting to the park. At the end of the night we were waiting for the ART to arrive at the park. There was a big group of people who just laughed as ours never seemed to arrive. I don't think I would ever stay at another ART only hotel again. I feel like we lost a ton of park time as a result of the ART.
