Homewood Suites

Has anyone stayed at the Homewood Suites that is located on I-Drive? We are already looking into next years trip and saw that on a few web sites they offer this motel at $89 a night which is a king suite. So if anyone has any opinions I would really appreciate it. We will only be doing WDW one day so the rest of our vacation will be at the other attractions in the Orlando area.

I've stayed at the Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway (and in other cities in Florida). They generally work out to be a good value with the little kitchen area, the complimentary breakfast and the social hour (in the early evening that features beer, wine and snacks).

They are clean and the staff is efficient. You should be well served with a Homewood Suites at that rate!

Hi

I stayed at the one near to the Pointe Orlando Centre ( and the Doubletree Castle).

Since then another one nearer to Universal has opened.

The suites are nice and large. It has an ok kitchen with microwave, a gift of popcorn and a dining table. The rooms are fine.

Breakfast is free and there was an Evening recepption with nibbles and drinks.

My only minor complaint was that the largish pool was between the two tallish wings therefore there was only 2-3 hours a day with the full sun on the pool area. At other times it would be in the shade.
