We are trying to decide between a bunk bed room and a King 1 bedroom suite.

I don't know that the tiny wall that separates the bunks is really going to allow much privacy, but I like that everyone will have a bed. With the 1 bedroom at least the kids would be sleeping in a separate room, but one of them would need to sleep on a blow up bed.

Any thoughts or anyone who has stayed in either room have any advice?

I always opt for the option that puts the kids in a separate room. :) I have boys who moved around a lot and ground their teeth in their sleep when they were little. Too much noise for me to sleep! Now they are teenagers, and it's just nice to have more space.

We stayed in the bunk bed room (king bed and bunks in the bedroom together, separate from the living room). There was a trundle under the bottom bunk so 3 full size twins. The half wall wall was only the width of the bunk bed, so no real privacy. I like the idea of everyone having their own bed and not cluttering up the living room with the sofa bed and blow up mattress. I think it just depends on your kids and what works best for your family.

I've done the 1 br with two queens at homewood. I'm all for the kids being in a different room, so we always go for the 1 br option if possible. The only problem I recall is that the bathroom is in the bedroom so in the middle of the night if the kids have to use the bathroom, they have to open the bedroom door...

I think I am going to do the 1 bedroom option. I just cannot see it working with the kids in the same room. I wish they had the same layout as the courtyard. We stayed there last year and loved the room but it was not worth the money IMO and the walk back is brutal in the heat. At Homewood at least there is a shuttle to near the hotel and you can get a little air conditioning break.

We just returned from a stay at the Homewood suites and it was a very nice hotel. My DH travels for works and has Hilton points and we used those. Had a king suite. There was just the two of us but it had a lot of space. We really enjoyed the stay. The Disney parking lot was next door so walked to get the bus from there a few times. We also walked to and from the park. It was about a mile and took us about 20min. Very easy walk. Lots of people on the street in morning and night. One thing to know is that all the king suites are on the first floor. My DH likes the higher floors and that is what he requested but when we arrived found out that they are all on the first floor. I liked that we didn't have to take the elevator.

I am staying next week. I will report back. I have the 1 bedroom with 2 queens.

We had a 1 bedroom with 2 queens in April. Liked that our teenager could have his own room with the pull out bed, he liked having his own tv too. The lounge is small, so with the bed out, there's no room in there at all. Kitchen tiny too, but it has everything you need. The bedroom is spacious, so is the bathroom.
