hi nickman
my daughter & I stayed at Homewood suites universal in september of last year. The rooms were very very clean, loved the fact that the bedroom closes completely off from the "living" area, had 2 queen beds & a tv in the bedroom, nice sized sofa & tv in the living area, the kitchenette was fully stocked, apartment sized refridgerator/freezer (not the tiny ones like in regular hotels) stove top & sink.
breakfast was plentiful, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs w/ bits of veggies & ham, either bacon or sausage links (they serve one & then when it runs out, they serve the other & so on. it would depend on what is there when you get down there) fresh fruits, danish, cereal, make your own waffles, juices. Plenty enough to fill up on. Our room overlooked I-4 but was quiet, we could also see IOA from our window. The pool was sort of small, didnt use it at all, didnt care to use it as we were at the parks all day. You are just a minute or 2 drive from the entrance to the parking garage of Universal. We loved this hotel but I cant seem to find decent rates on it anymore.
