We are staying here mid-August 17th-21st. Looks like a nice hotel, we are staying with points so we needed a Hilton property. This looks to be the closest. We stayed at CCI last trip but the rooms were small and my kids are 12 & 9 and we need a bit more space. Let me know what you like about this place!! We are looking forward to our 2nd Disneyland trip!!

My family of 4 just stayed there in March. We loved this hotel. The suite was the perfect size for our family and I loved having a full kitchen in the room. The hotel is very clean and nice. The free breakfast and free light dinner on Mon-Thur was really great as well. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Toy Story lot buses. We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. My husband travels a lot for work and we always stay here on points. We love a lot of things about this hotel- the location (5 minute walk to the toy story shuttles), the rooms themselves are new, clean, and spacious (we love the suite with bunk beds), the pool is nice and they project Disney movies in the evenings out there), free breakfast with decent offerings. If you're a diamond Hilton member, don't forget to see if there are any room upgrades available when you arrive. We never book the bunk room, but have been upgraded to it for free a few times.

We are staying there on points in late May and are excited to see how it works. There are no suites at the Hilton and that is a non-starter for a 5 night trip. Might rent a room at the Hilton for the pool/amenities on one night (to use on two), but it looks nice. How long is the walk to the main gate? With a stroller, we'd rather just walk the whole way is we can do in 20 minutes.

20 minutes should be about right. It took us 20 minutes to walk back to our car when it was in the middle of the Toy Story lot. Homewood Suites convention center is right next to the parking lot.

So glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the info! Those are the things that drew us to this over the Hilton!

We love being able to use all my DH's travel points too! We are on a 2 week Arizona to California vacation and we are staying on points the whole time! I will have to check his status to see what possible upgrades to ask for:) Thank you for your input!

.

Thank you for the info on the walking time. We thought maybe in the mornings we would walk and then take the shuttle back at night to ease our feet:):)

Thank you for the info! I have reserved this hotel for our February trip. It looks really nice.
DH has a bad back. How are the beds?

I agree on the 20 minute walk time. We timed it once and with no line for the bus it's just about the same time to walk as taking the bus plus you don't have to unpack/fold the stroller. If you're coming back when the bus line is long like right after fireworks then walking will definitely be much quicker.

I loved this property. The staff were very friendly. Especially breakfast. They have a nice breakfast area and foods.

The rooms were nice, new & clean when we were there in November. Your standard HomeWood suites, which we love.

We stayed there right after it opened. They were still working a few things out but overall I thought it was a really nice place to stay. We have a reservation for later this year. The toy story shuttle was very convenient. We did walk once. At a brisk pace I think I timed it at 18 minutes from DL security gates to the hotel lobby, so the 20 minute estimate sounds right. One morning we wanted to get there early for our magic morning so the hotel called a car. Well worth the $10 to me. In the future I would just call yellow cab myself or maybe try uber if we didn't want to use the shuttle. I wouldn't do that every time, just occasionally if it made our day go more smoothly. Several years ago we stayed at the Grand, and even though I loved the location of the Grand and it was fun staying on site, the rooms are small and the cost was high. Other trips we've stayed at Desert Inn and Suites. Much more room and the location can't be beat, but definitely a low-end motel. For us, Homewood Suites is a good balance of quality, convenience, and cost.

We are also staying here late this month. Is there a ART pickup close to the hotel? What would be faster the ART or Toy Story Shuttle? Thanks.
