Homeward Bound

Mr. Was and I went shopping this morning
(no new couch)
but lots of "needed" things, like lightbulbs,
and weed killer, and pool shock (we are so romantic, arent' we? )

and then we had a quiet, fancy schmancy lunch
at my favorite dessert restaurant
with Peanut Butter Pie for dessert, (DH and I shared a piece, which was huge, and he liked it so much he wants me to try to make it)

I can make the peanut butter part, the crust is an oatmeal base, that will be a bit harder, DH thinks the crust should be no bake cookie

It is 84 (nothing special about that number) degrees

which means
I have to water the flowers I planted

annuals are very high maintanence
potted plants are very high maintenance
they dry out quickly
always need watering

usually by vacation time
I am ready to just let them wither and die

It is time for DS and DD13 to be getting home from school
and we haven't even got all the "stuff" we bought put away yet.

DH is busy coloring on his new golf balls with permanent marker
to make them easier to find........
yes, this means that he is not such a great golfer...

since I actually do cook massive amounts of food
when I host a party

DS turns 16 tomorrow!!!

we had to do the same with our lawn
but yet we still have a bunch

Dh bought a new chin strap for a batting helmet
the girls share a helmet right now
but he said we had one in the basement
that just needed a strap

and now he and DS have brought up FOUR batting helmets

different sizes
as DS's head grew
but there is certain to be one the girls can use

not hot pink like the one they are sharing
these are all black


I am thinking of bedazzling one

I was reading all the AK menus on all ears
trying to find a good place for the finicky was40 kids


nothing excites me

we did restarauntasaurus breakfast buffet (but somethow the menu looks different now!)
DD10 will want mcd's chix and fries over any real food offerings

Did your kids eat well at Tusker House or Yak and Yeki, PAD?
are your kids picky to begin with?

DS will eat anything, and the leftovers of whatever anyone else orders, but the girls are fussy
