We are having DS(7)'s b-day party on Saturday -- so a little Memorial Day picnic too.

Are you guys up to anything?

Sarah, the first story brings me back to explaining such evil and hate in this world. Are there ever any words to explain it.

Chemo, mixed feelings there. If he were older, would his choice be questioned. Is chemo ever a guarantee. The system does not always rule in the best interest of the child.

The story on the boy with cancer is a difficult one. From what I heard in interviews with doctors(given they are not the child's doctor) is that with chemo, his cancer is more than 90% curable(not sure if that's the right word to use). Without it, he has only a 5% chance of living much longer.
I'm not sure who to agree with on this one!

Right now, our plans are up in the air. DD will definitely be working.

I had a carppy online shopping delivery yesterday ...........netbook came ..........but then ........... didn't work---wouldn't hold a charge--- called Tech Support (& where were you Judi ) & they said send it back -- shouldn't be doing that -- no tricks up their sleeves

& Disney Tees came yesterday too

I had ordered DS4 XXsm tees -- the xsm were too big -- they will fit DS6 -- & xxsm are still rather large! (hopefully they will shrink & look ok)

even the 5T shirt was very big...........

very cool Buzz beach towel though -$5.99

The majority of our friends are in the school districts -- teachers, tech support, child psych -- so I was the only one that ever had to work.

Sorry about the netbook not working. How soon till they ship out another one?

T shirt buying is so difficult these days, even from stores you've bought from before. I find that the stores keep cutting them differently and you can never judge the sizes without actually trying them on.

they don't have any more white ones from Amazon -- I think Target has one that can ship through Amazon or I can switch to Pink..........

It will probably take about a week.

I agree on the Tees--- they are all cut very differently -- I tend to think Disney runs large. Medium on me is HUGH! & I wear medium in just about all other shirts.

I just didn't expect an xxsm to be so big.

I held it up to my shoulders & the ends came within about an inch of either side & it came down to almost my waist.

Most of DD's friends are in college so they are finishing finals this week and will be off till September (none of them want to take summer classes). Believe me , it's hard for her to keep hearing about it but she knows that she's lucky to have a job that she likes.
If she ends up staying at the place where she's working, till December, she will have earned a week off. I told her that I would try to book a week at Disney in January, if it works out for both of us, and if we can find an affordable rate.

I have a pink Dell and I love the way it looks in that color. The computer itself, is another issue. Though, DS has solved my problem, at least temporarily.

My personal law class had its mock trial today...I didn't have a role, I was just an observer...so I got to watch that for the first 2 periods of the day...then I had to leave...
