thank you Sarah!

Thanks Judi!
Dr. appt. for me, DS is still home with virus, DD has a touch of it, as do I. We're all very achy.
 Feel better, HARASW family!

Today was a CRAZY day at school...we had a bomb threat!
:scared1:

lol, oh man last few weeks of school! We used to have them too! I went to the largest (population wise) school in Ohio and it was always fun to see 3000+ kids on the lawn. We did not have 9th grade up there either, just 10,11,12th.

The school district I am in (and the district my kids go to) both graduate a whopping 150 per year. Small towns round here, small districts, no huge HS's.

Was40, hope you have a great time today!
Thanks for the wings :)

you are quite welcome
we enjoyed the ranch
arizona ranch boneless
barbeque
and louisiana lickers

plus a steak wedge (mini steak sandwich)
and I had some cooked broccoli (since I am so health concious)
and for dessert
a piece of pound cake with toppings (I chose hot fudge, whipped cream, candied peanuts and blueberries) the blueberries were a whim, I didn't reallythink they went with it, but they were tasty (blueberry pie filling type thing)

The field trip was awesome

amazing weather

great animal trip
no kid or adult problems
no headache
great lunch

back in time to enjoy 15 minutes on the school playground

very enjoyable day

DS is whiney poison ivy boy

any recommendations, Sarah?

He took benadryl
and has a topical creme which he probably isn't using
not a script

it is just on his legs
but a lot of it:confused3

DS has to work at the Y tonight
recertification in AED, CPR , oxygen (thats a new one)

5-9
which means time to taxi...

DD10 has her field trippie tomorrow
so we have to buy special field trip lunch treats
no quaker steak for her!

they are touring Heinz Field in Pittsburgh
she is not too excited about it:laughing:

Thankfully, I've never had to deal with poison ivy.
Here are some recommendations from a very reliable site:

Lifestyle and home remedies
By Mayo Clinic staff

Once a rash has broken out, the following may help to soothe itching and swelling:

* Over-the-counter high-potency corticosteroid creams, such as hydrocortisone, especially within the first few days
* Calamine lotion
* Creams containing menthol, such as Sarna
* Oral antihistamines, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl, others), which may also help you sleep better
* Cool-water tub soaks with over-the-counter colloidal oatmeal (Aveeno)
* Cool, wet compresses for 15 to 30 minutes several times a day

DD ended up staying at work till 4! She usually ends, on weekdays, at 2.

No one is really in the mood for dinner. I made some simple food and not too much - veggie soup and pasta with olive oil and herbs.

I hate these viruses. We've had a number of them in this house this past winter.

Snow, how is your foot feeling today? I hope that most of the pain and swelling is gone!!

Aston hotels and resort (formerly Resort Quest Hawaii)
Itacare Village-nature and luxe, see for yourself

Anyone interested??

It's still sore...but there isn't any swelling.

Anyone watch the sneak peek of Glee last night?
Pretty funny, I'm watching it right on the DVR.

OH and we didn't talk about the upset on DWTS. I was shocked (although liked her!)
OH and So you think you can Dance starts tomorrow. My favorite competition type show! I'm very excited.

I'm having a was40family kinda meal tonight (in case anyone cares :rotfl2:)

I didn't watch it...but lots of kids at school saw it and said it was good...I'll have to look for it next week!

I was SHOCKED that Shawn won! I liked her too but I thought for sure it was going to be Gilles...even though I wanted Melissa.

DD will be using my computer for a bit.
I hope to make it back later, even if it's just to wish you all good night.
