Hometowns...where you from?

I was born in south central MN in Mankato, but have lived the majority of my life in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St Paul.

I was born in Hickory, NC but raised in a very small community called Banoak. Bet no one here knows where that is. It isn't even on a map!

We moved around a lot while I was growing up, but it was always within two counties. Since then I have moved a few more times, but never out of Western NC.

Born in Pittsfield, Ill. Moved to Ripley (believe it or not), NY when I was four. My mom got married...
Lived in Germany for 3 years while my ex was in the army.

Now reside in NE PA for the last almost 20 years...

I was born in Lorain, Ohio and have lived here all my life. Well, except for a year in VA when DH was in the Navy.

Have lived here in Auburn, NH for my whole life. If it's up to me I will always live in New England. May find my way into Pennsylvania or northern Virginia for college, but it'll be back home when that's all over with.

Born in Springfield, MASS, from there moved to Montana, New Jersey, Hawaii, Baltimore, MD, then to Buffalo NY. And here I grad HS, met my DH, married, and had DD & DS. Still raze my DF for moving from Hawaii though.

Grew up in East Ridge (just outside of Chattanooga, TN), moved to Atlanta for 10 years, now back in East Ridge. We live just around the corner from where I grew up.

I love it here! I just wish Orlando was a few miles closer...

I was born in Toledo - my parents moved our family of 10 to Oakland California when I was 6 years old. I have lived in the SF Bay Area ever since!

DH, on the other hand, is a many-generation Bay Area resident. His family was among the original settlers of the near-by town of Dublin. (Is there a Dublin & a Danville in every state?!)

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. We've lived a number of places while DW was in the Army but we are back in Indy now (really our home for most of our post college lives that wasn't in the military).

Moved to Staten Island from Queens when I was a year old. Lived in Oneonta, NY for 4 years while attending college and then back home to good old Staten Island. I will probably never leave.

Where to start, born in Long Island, NY, was raised in Fair Haven, Vt till mom left dad to join Army from there we bounced from Ft Sill,OK back to VT, Germany & Fort Bragg back to VT back to Bragg, Korea and Fort Campbell,KY. I joined Air Force and on to Carswell AFB, TX married Army hubby and back to Germany, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and back to Fort Hood,TX (hubby was here when we met). He is currently on orders to FT Knox, KY.

Born Hot Springs AR, moved to Pine Bluff then to Fordyce, after high school i lived in fayetteville, monticello, cabot, jacksonvbille, camden, then after first marriage went south, i moved to Crossett where we have lived since 89

Born and raised in Sheffield Lake, Ohio but now live in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sheffield Lake is about 20 minutes West of downtown Cleveland.

Simba's Mom...I live in Douglas, MA and work in Oxford. My DH and I were both raised in Uxbridge and moved to Douglas when we got married.

I didn't think I'd find anyone on these boards that had lived so close to me (at least at one time!).

I lived in the same house for 23 years in Knox, NY, about 20 miles southwest of Albany (in the STICKS let me tell you) then I moved to Raleigh, NC. Talk about culture shock.
