Hometowns...where you from?

Hello everyone. I was wondering, with people moving all the time I got to thinking...where's everyone from, where you moved to and why? Me first. I'm originally from Roswell, New Mexico. Yep, that's right, the alien place. I moved to Boston to attend The Boston Conservatory and got a degree in Voice Performance with an Opera Emphsis. My next move will be to Cape Cod when I get married. That's where I'm from and where I'm at....so who's next?

Johnsburg Illinois!! I moved 6 miles to McHenry, and that is where we are now. Moved from Johnsburg when I got married, because that is where my DH lived. My parents still live in the same house I was raised in--Johnsburg!! (Go Skyhawks!!!)

I pretty much lived all my life in Derby NY (about 20 miles outside Buffalo). Never lived anywhere else-- other than Buffalo Suburbs. Quite a few of them as between 19-22 I moved a lot!!

Freesoil Michigan...well it's not really a town, it's more like a village. My graduating class was 14 people. We didn't have a football team, not enough people to make one. I also lived in Kalamazoo and Lansing Michigan. We moved to Orlando Florida due to DH getting a job here. And I haven't regretted it for a moment (o.k., maybe when I am crushing a palmetto bug or chasing a snake off my front sidewalk, but that's the only time).

I was born in Denver, moved to Gloucester, Virginia when I was three, moved to Richmond at 4 1/2, Powhatan (a small town outside of Richmond) at 6, Athens (GA) at 18 to go to college for a short time, Steamboat Springs (CO...well a suburb of Steamboat, anyway) the next January, Salt Lake City that May, back to Richmond that June, and (surprise!) I'm living in Bradenton, Florida and I've been here since June 8th. The kids are with me and my fiance, he and I are getting married in two months, and I'm going to nursing school down here.....I met him on vacation down here (he was my best friend's male best friend and we fell head over heels in love.....I finally understand the meaning of the word love and I understand what a relationship is really supposed to be like....even though he's 57 and I'm only 28....he loves the kids and he and I adore each other and I know to not only depend on the man I'm with like I used to but also to be there for the man I'm with to lean on) and if anyone wants to say anything negative, go ahead and do it....I can handle it because I'm actually happy for the first time in SO many years that I can't remember being this happy and I have a solid future. Oh, but please do it in PM's so that the OP's thread isn't ruined.
