Homestudy OVER ... Yipppeeeee!!!!

Social worker just left for our adoption homestudy! Wowwy~ much easier than I thought! The SW was very nice. We had to each answer about 10 pages of questions before hand. She mainly went over those questions and asked us a few more. No white glove inspections ... LOL!!!

Now, we just have to wait for the birthmom/dad to make the decisions. Hopefully, we will have answer this week.

Not to rain on your parade, but make sure that the social worker turns in the report and gets everything correct on it. We had one back in March/April (2 visits). Guy was very nice, but he didn't get his paperwork handed in and had some erroreous information on it (like the wrong phone number). I'd encourage you to keep on top of this and follow up until you get a copy of the report yourself.

And, congratulations on getting through it. We are waiting to find a birth mom too.

I'm really happy that everything went well for you. I remember how anxious DH and I were getting all the paperwork completed to adopt DD (almost 4).

Hi guys! Thanks for the well wishes! We are so glad to have this over with! The SW said she would have 2 originals and a copy for me by the end of the week. She has been super throughout the whole process so, I am sure she will get it done on time. Also, she brought an intern with her. So, perhaps they are writing it up this very minute. I am sure having the intern "shadow" her for a few days will keep her on her toes
