Homemade bridal shower gift from a 4th grader?

Had my scout troup make this and it was a big hit.
1- Get a heart shaped or round metal cake pan.
2- Write the bride and grooms' name and wedding date on pan.
3- With a hammer and nail hammer the nail along the letters from the inside of the pan.
4- Decorate the edge of the pan with ribons, lace etc.

When my niece got married I took my DD to one of those paint your own pottery places. She made her a very pretty deviled egg plate.

Thanks for all the suggestions! We ran out of time (working on Science projects for 2 kids) so the easiest was the flower pen-holder--we bought a flowerpot with cloth flowers from Dollar tree, a couple of pens, cut off a couple of the flowers twisted the wire round the pen clips and stuck them into the flowerpot. It looked good, specially considering how quick it was to make.
He also made a card with "3 suggestions for a happy marriage"--his 1st one was "Remember special occasions" and he says he thought it up himself--guess I have him trained right

I would LOVE one of those flower pot pen sets! My students always steal my pens! And it will be cheerful on her desk or at her house. I bet she loved it!

Have your child complete the sentence, "Love means ___________". Have your child write it out and draw a picture to go with it. Then put it in a simple mat and frame. Kids do say the darndest things!

Well, this suggestion is too late, but this is what we did for a teacher getting married: each student was given a blank page from a scrapbook. They decorated their page any way they wanted and added a photo of themselves and added a recipe. She loved it.

How about going to one of those local places that lets you paint pottery and making his and her mugs?

I am a teacher and I love coffee! A mug made for my spouse and I would have been lovely.
