Homemade Autograph Books

Does anyone have any good ideas for some homemade autograph books. My kids already have 2 from the Disney parks & since this will be our 3rd time @ Xmas, I want them to make special ones!

DW got everything at Michael's. The books were on clearance and the kids put stickers for each character on separate pages, then decorated the covers with stickers and markers.

There is a really good tutorial on the Disboards. I bought 6x6 chip board at hobby lobby for the front and back and covered those with scrapbook paper. Then with photobucket found autograph pages that someone had already made and printed those off on constructed paper. I took it to a ups store and they spiral bound it for $1.99. They look awesome and I can't wait to use them.

I also wanted something different than the ones bought at Disney this time. I found some homemade ones on ebay and etsy that I really liked (I am not all that crafty)

I used scrapbook paper on a spiral bound chipboard album. I am doing decorative doodled borders on the pages.
Last year made 3x6 decorated autograph cards and put into photo album slots afterwards.

I just got small sketchbooks, used my cricut to cut out Tinkerbell for my daughter and die but sparkle letters for her name. For my sons I hand cut a Stormtrooper for his and die cut letters for his name. I tied coordinating ribbons on the spiral and a long ribbon to tie the clickable sharpie on. I will write the dates and resort when we get closer. And the kids can put stickers on inside cover when we get home.

I create hard bound books on Snapfish, using picture of my kids with characters from the previous trip. The characters make a big deal looking at the books and seeing themselves from the previous trip as well. Although these books can get to be expense, about $30 for each book, I consider them the biggest souvenir for each kid from the trip. They have kept them over the years now. We are heading back down in 2 weeks and my 13 yr old & my 17 yr old still want their books! We bring multiple colored Sharpies (except green) & my kids still have a great time getting character signatures!

Oh, I also add about 2 blank pages at the end of the book for new characters we haven't encountered yet. We tell them they will be in next year's book!

Small ringed sketch books at any craft store. Then buy Disney stickers and let your child decorate each page for each character. We did this and the characters LOVE it!! Also, a big sharpie. Easier for the characters with gloves to handle!!

The design are based on the fictional passports of the Disney characters. My goal was to make the passport as real-life as possible and something different of my last series. There are 2 different passports, one for Disneyland Resort (also suitable for Disneyland Paris, or any other Disneyland around the world) and one for Walt Disney World.

There is even a intro page. This is the page where you’ll find the story (same as above) and a place where you can put the name and a photo of your child (or a picture of yourself, if you wish).​

I am personally using this, though I will probably be sticking the passport 'pages' into a scrapbook album.

Not a book but... my kids favorite is a hat I got in advance at the Disney store and we had the characters sign with a sharpie. We did light colors so the sharpie showed up well. My older dd did a baseball hat (white with a pink mickey) and my younger did a bucket hat - white with Donald.

10 or so years later the books are stashed away but the hats still hang on a hook in their rooms

The other advantage is since the kids are wearing the hat there was no fumbling for pages etc when greeting characters.
