I am planning on making one for my daughter for our trip in December. I was wondering if you have made your own if you could post a picture or how you made it. Any ideas would be great!!
thanks ::MinnieMo

Definitely make one! I had so much fun making ours and every single character that signed them made a big fuss over their page. Eeyore showed it to everyone around us, the princesses all gushed, Tigger bounced up and down and did ring around the rosy with my daughter and niece.

Anyway, here's what I used. I used a 7 Gypsies 8x8 ring album. I covered the front and back cover which was very easy. Then instead of using the paper that came with it (I wasn't sure it was thick enough) I used 8x8 Bazzill cardstocks.

I then customized each page with stickers and on most I cut a 7x7 unique paper and glued that on the cardstock. Then I hole punched everything, added some blank pages at the end for anyone we might meet that I didn't do a page for, and covered the rings with a variety of ribbons.

I loved the 8x8 format and all of the characters used every inch of space. I carried it around in my bag inside a large ziplock. I took a couple of Sharpie click markers and those were perfect.

Ebay had great deals on the ring albums and the Bazzill paper.

Here's a few sample pages (I didn't take good pics sorry) and the cover. I can't post links but if you go to share.shutterfly.com then add /action/welcome?sid=8AZNGLFq1ZNmJf to the end you should be able to see them. I haven't put our Disney pictures in yet as we just got back but the plan is to take the picture of my daughter with the character and scrapbook a page to go to the left of the autograph page. We got a lot of them so it's going to take awhile!

It was just so much fun! princess:

EMAW I could not get the shutterfly site to open up. I would really like to see you autograph book. Jan

Darn I hate not being able to post links. Ok, I "shared" them differently in Shutterfly, gives an easier link. Try this emaw.shutterfly.com

Then click on Cinderella to see a few others. I just chose a few to post, I think I did about 15 character pages in all and then added 10 blank pages at the end.

I made mine supper easy. I just took card stock and cut it in to 5X6 pages. then took some binder rings and punched holes in the top. then I make a cover and back for them with colored card stock and used my Cricut to Write there names on it. the front and back are red and black with with and yellow letters. and it says "childs Name" Friends. with mickey head stickers all over. I choose to do it this way because when we get home I can just take them and cut them to 4X6 and then scrapbook them with the picture of my kids with the character. I made one last year the turned out just perfect. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips guys this is great. So happy I came across this thread. This sounds like a fab idea.

Just had to post a link to mine when I saw this thread. I made autograph books for both of my kids for our trip (a week from tomorrow! :cool1: )

This is a photo of my daughter's book. My son's has Lightning McQueen on the front!

I really love your book, you and I had similar ideas but you are obviously a pro! Looks really cute, the characters will love their pages, it was really fun to see their reactions. Have fun!

These are all adorable! I wish I had a kiddo of the right age to be into this, but 10 year old thinks she's too old, and the baby isn't there yet. I feel inspired now.

Thanks!
I just have to remember to get the girls to leave a page after each autograph, so I can pop a photo in of them with the character.

You are all so crafty, how do you find the time? Being a single parent of an almost 7 year old I am lucky to get dinner on the table, supervise homework, and get the laundry done, Oh well, quess I will just have to keep buying my dd's autograph books, (which will be fine as long as she doesn't see all these cool pictures.....):rotfl:

Were those all from DLR?

At WDW, the autographs aren't as nice. They didn't take the time to personalize them or draw pictures. :confused3

Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

This book is so awesome, do you mind telling me how you did it?? I love it!!!:)

Chrismouse: Did you do the characters with a Cricut Machine. That is what it looks like. I was just wondering cause I want to get that cartridge.

I DID use my Cricut to make the characters. It's my new favorite cartridge. However...everything they say about it is TRUE. You have to cut them at the largest settings, and they take awhile to piece together. You have to cut the characters in layers...first the black base layer...then face...then white elements...then outfit, etc...They can be a bear to put together with all of the teeny tiny pieces, but they are SO MUCH FUN!!!

For the actual BOOK, I used a sketch pad I found at Michaels. I just covered it with plain cardstock. The characters, letters, and tiny hats on the letters I cut with my Cricut. I also used a Mrs. Grossman sticker for Mickey's wand/pen.

I cut a bunch of ribbons that reminded me of the characters, and tied them around the spiral at the top.

I didn't photograph my other pages, but I have pages for each princess, Pooh & gang, Woody & Buzz, Incredibles, etc. that I just made with cardstock & stickers...

Then I left a bunch of pages blank for characters we might see that I couldn't anticipate.

It was fun to make. On the top I will put my kiddo's character photo, and on the bottom (near where you see the character's face) we will have them sign.
