Not confused -- well maybe i am -- for months were told this so called leader was running things ( the resistence ) So when he was caught in was a hole with nothing, i just started to wonder ?-- So have we been looking for the wrong guy all along

Or is old Mr Osama Bin Laden running the whole thing -- I also see we've welcomed Mr Muammar Gaddafi back into the fold.

How interesting wonder what we deals have been done.

Just caught a quick blip about this.. The highest perceived threat since 9/11 - on a grander scale than what occured that awful day - and the Al Quieda is still bound and determined to use our airlines..

Hopefully nothing will come of this..

No one has been told told that Saddam was running everything (at least we were never told that in the US). He may have been running some resistance in Iraq, but not worldwide. In short, he was a threat, but never the only threat. Bush has never said anything different. If fact, the only person I have ever heard say we were told differely is you. But, since you are admitedly confused, this should not come as a suprise. Of course, since you also admited that you were only trying to be antagonistic with your last major thread, I guess your views on this thread should come as a suprise to no one.

It's just as likely that all the Catholics will give up their religion when the Pope dies. I never heard the slightest hint that Saddam's capture meant that we could rest easy now.

All i'm getting at is your all letting the Enemy win with these terror threats. We all should just go about our daily business as normal.

I think its better to tell us which countries have the higher threat from but thats about it.

Here is what I've read:

U.S. officials by the end of last week were telling holiday travelers to be vigilant about the threat of terrorist attacks. The warning was prompted in part by a raised level of ominous intercepted communications that has not quieted for months.

The significance of the sustained level of intelligence “chatter” is unclear, the officials said.

Homeland Security officials said they did not expect a change in the threat level unless more specific intelligence was received.

On Friday, the Arabic television network Al-Jazeera broadcast a new statement from Ayman al-Zawahri, the chief deputy of Osama bin Laden. The CIA said Saturday it believes the tape is authentic.

“We are still chasing the Americans and their allies everywhere, even in their homeland,” according to the voice on the tape.

Some statements from al-Qaida leaders are later regarded as preludes to attacks; others simply propaganda.

Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Sunday morning that officials were trying to determine whether increased terrorist chatter being detected in recent weeks was an aberration or something more serious.

“There is no doubt, from all the intelligence we pick up from al-Qaida, that they want to do away with our way of life,” he told “Fox News Sunday.”
