our tickets cost ten per person or twenty per couple but they cost that much because our tickets are keychains so we get to keep them for our keyring. the tickets go along with the theme like last year our winter dance (sweet heart swirl--very formal like prom) the theme was cinderella so people got a glass slipper on the keychain (only it was plastic lol) and it had the year and theme engraved on it in gold. i dont know the theme for this year yet but i cant wait!!

so do any of u have ur dresses yet? i got mine yesterday. it's long and black with thin straps and has a sequin design all over it. i love it so much! i still have to get shoes, accessories, and a purse though!

i got my dress in chi-town in july when we went there for my bday mine is long has thin straps and has flower and vines that spill from my right shoulder in a wave to the bottom on the left side. the vines are sequins and the flowers are small and kinda fuzzy feeling. not sure how to explain it. if i can find a pic i will post it, but i doubt i can.

I got my dress on Saturday...it's knee length, light blue satin with halter straps...really nice...

hey guys! next week is spirit week at my school. Monday's pajama day, Tuesday's twin day, Wednesday's wacky tacky day, Thursday's hat day, and Friday's blue and white day (our school colors). I think i like blue and white day the best, cuz everyone goes all out. We paint our faces and spray our hair with blue and white, lol. Friday afternoon is the pep rally. Saturday is Homecoming! 10 am is the parade, 2 pm the football game, and then 8-11 pm is the dance. I can't wait!!!! The band has to be at the rally, parade, AND game though. It's always a rush to get ready for the dance! Oh, and our tickets are $15 each this year. Not too bad, but i think it was less last year.

My daughter's homecoming dance is today, I will be waking her up soon. She has a busy day. Tanning at 10:00, hair appointment at 11:00 and she is getting her makeup done at 1:00. Unfortunately she hurt her knee on Tuesday and she is on crutches, also her boyfriend has a soccer tournament and won't be home until 6:00 - the dance starts at 7:00. We are all going to her boyfriend's parents house for dinner. Anyway, I would love to see pictures of everyone elses homecoming, and I am sure DD would enjoy it too. So if anyone has pictures - please post them!!!

Homecoming Game yesterday....we lost but our Banner Parade was awesome! My friend dressed up as a priest for the TV Production banner because it fell and broke during the day so they had a rest in peace sign on top of it and carried it in a funeral procession.

Our Old Gold Weekend which is the equivalent of homecoming is next weekend October 8th through the 10th
We don't have a dance or anything. Alums come back and we have a football game

wow, it seems like most of your homecomings is also your spirit week... ours (most of the time) ain't.
Our spirit week is when we play our cross-town rivals, which is normally Halloween week.

Ticket price for the dances seems the same... mine's $50 a couple or $25 single. They go on sale next week, and the dance is the 16th.

i'm so mad!!!!! this is the first year my school has sold out of homecoming tickets (maybe because of our new administration). There were only 750 for 1400 students! And i heard about 200 guests are coming, which means less than half of our school's students will be there. A lot of seniors couldn't even get tickets, but almost all the freshmen are going! If it's a school event open to everyone, how come everyone can't come?!

i'm so mad i didn't get a ticket.

Honestly? I have no idea... I think it's like the last home football game, but that's not true for my school this year... lol

homecoming is when alumni of your high school come back to visit the school. they go to the parade and the football game, and then there's a dance for students to celebrate. it's really not that big of a deal, now that i think about, i guess we just play it up a lot. that's the best explanation i can give, lol.

Well our homecoming was awesome I believe....good times.

We usually sell out, and last year was the worst. All the freshman got tickets and barely any seniors got them. We have 1300 tickets for 2100 students---so we usually sell out.

Some venues can only accept a certain amount of people...and it all depends on price.

That's EXACTLY what happened this year. Almost the entire freshmen class got tickets AND brought a lot of their middle schools friends from other high schools. I know a lot of seniors who didn't get tickets. A lot of people bailed because their friends weren't going.
