What's good at Homecoming? I was looking at the Chicken Chopped Salad on AllEars, but it is not listed on Disney's site.

Anyone have any favorites? Worth the price?

Thanks for posting this, hope you don't mine me joining in...I am interested in any information as well! Party of 8 going in February, and all enjoy southern style comfort food similar to Cracker Barrel, and this menu sounds similar, but much more yummier! What's good here? Pictures?

I started off with the bootlegger (yum) and then shared the fried chicken (3 pieces) with mashed potatoes with my friend. We added an extra biscuit and an order of mac-n-cheese. We both then had our own dessert, shine cake for her and hummingbird for me. All of it was just so delish and we were full and she couldn't stop raving to her H about it. We didn't have an ADR for this and decided to sit at the bar, which I would do again just to eat here (I never sit at the bar). I can't wait to head back in April with an ADR!

We've eaten there twice so far and really enjoyed it. We had a parties of 5 and 7 and almost everybody got something different so we got a good chance to sample the various dishes. I can't say that there were any bad choices on the menu. Go with whatever sounds good to you.

We had the hush puppies as an app, we thought that was all right. My hubby had a chicken sandwich and loved it and I had the chicken and donuts which I also loved! It was the best fried chicken we ever had. Also had a side of mac and cheese, that was delicious! Definitely worth the money and definitely going again :)

Nice to see the great reviews, thanks folks! :earsboy:

We only did appetizers, dessert, and cocktails. All of the cocktails are fantastic. The Shine cake is really good. We really liked the Jaspar board and the hushpuppies. The deviled eggs were really big, almost full size eggs, and were completely filled; however, they were just kind of bland. I am looking forward to eating there again in July.

My sister & I only tried the kitchen plate, which is a sample of 3 of the side items. The mac & cheese is amazing, and my sister loved the collard greens. We both had the cheese biscuits, which were delicious. Almost forgot, the sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection.

We are going to try it again in Feb, and hopefully get to try an entree or two.

If you are going to be drinking, I do recommend the Sweet tea shine.

We had the jasper board and loved it. My wife the chicken junkie loved the fried chicken. My daughter had one of the burgers and I had the pulled pork. Loved the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and the chips (we share!). You can't go wrong there, honestly.

I'm not sure I'll ever bother to order fried chicken at any other restaurant because it's never going to be as good as Homecoming's. It was even delicious cold as a midnight snack! It's expensive and I wouldn't go there once a month to get it, but yeah, definitely worth it for a special occasion.

I had the chopped chicken salad in October, but I would not order it again. The fried chicken was okay, but it didn't taste at all like my DH's Fried Chicken entree which is what I'll order next time because it was so good. Also, the salad greens were at room temperature.

I can't wait to try it in March. According to DisneyKevin "the only Disney restaurant where the theme is food." Lol.... that still has me laughing.
I meant to mention that @DisneyKevin had done a review on the podcast. Unfortunately I can't recall what date that was.

Okay,.....going this week.
Recommendations for low carb?

Jaspar board if you avoid the crackers, pickles, and pecans. Deviled eggs. Possibly the shrimp cocktail, but the sauce and salsa may be pretty sugary, haven't tried it. Big fish, Hamilton, or grilled chicken sandwiches without the bread. Harvest salad with grilled fish or tenderloin without the pepper/corn relish. Reunion Greek salad. Grilled fish of the day but sub sweet potatoes for maybe the snap beans or cucumber salad. Maybe the beef short ribs.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't eat seafood either. I will take another look at the menu. DH just wants that fried chicken!
