Homecoming week activities

Does anyone have any ideas for homecoming week and activities?

My kids school starts with a Lip Sync contest on Thursday night. Each class participates (gets really funny when the football players dress as girls!) and there is a judging panel. Friday night is a parade, tailgate party and the football game. Saturday there are lots of fun sporting events during the day - like seniors vs. faculty volleyball, etc. Sat night is the Homecoming Dance and the lip sync winners are announced and the king and queen crowned (DS17 is a candidate for king!!).

It's crazy busy but lots of fun!!

Last year, My DD's homecoming theme was something related to Hollywood.

One of the "theme days" was dress like a celebrity. Two of the seniors dressed up like Jon and Kate, and then pushed 2 strollers with a total of 8 dolls in them. Every year, each class has their own homecoming t-shirts, and there is a "class t-shirt" day.

Outside of the school day, there is a homecoming parade, and the powderpuff football game.

Lets see, in the past my kids schools have done themed days during the week leading up to the dance/game:
Pajama day
twin day
college day-represent your fave
decades..from the 20's on up
crazy/mised up just dressed really bizare
color day- each year, Fresh/Soph etc assigned a color theme to follow
spirit day-usually the last day of the week
inside out day
nerd day
I wish they would have more activities, maybe...bring back the parades and floats, float meetings!
