Last year we walked up to Homecomin for lunch. I can't score a reservation, do you think its still possible to walk up on a sunday for brunch/lunch?

You can try. If you cannot score a reservation, try a different time. We are going in January and scored a 5:15 dinner time which is a little early for us. Looking forward to the friend chicken meal - a recent reviewer said it was their best meal of the 2 week trip.

We did a walk up in mid-May for dinner. No reservation and asked if we could get in. Hostess said no problem and that it would be a 10 minute wait...or we could seat ourselves at the bar immediately. We chose the bar and had a FANTASTIC meal. I'd totally forgotten about eating at bars and we had such a great time that we may do that a lot more often at other restaurants too.

We were there a few Sundays ago, with a reservation, and still waited like 15/20 minutes or so. I was also there 2 saturdays ago by myself and sat right at the bar immediately so it may depend (I know that is not much help, sorry).

My friend and I decided to try last year, early weekday December, and we were told our only option was to sit at the bar. The chairs were pretty comfy, so we did and had a lovely meal. You could certainly keep trying or try a walk-up, but be prepared to possibly sit at the bar.
