I am going to try to buy a veerrrrry low point contract when I can find one. It's all I'm going to be able to afford this year.

That said, the home resort has to be in walking distance to one of the parks. So - BCV or BWV? Thanks in advance :wizard:

I don't think you should limit yourself. How about going for whichever comes up? It's not going to be easy.

BWV does have the standard view, so if you can get them, you'll be saving some of your precious points on each trip.

Still, I would try for either one.

Bobbi :D

Think about how long you want to wait to do this too. BCV contracts have been very hard to come by, both small and large. When they are available, they seem to go in a matter of minutes. BWV seems to have some go quickly too, but there has been more available. Y

ou don't have to own at one of those resorts to stay there though. Would you be happy owning at OKW? You can buy more points for the same amount of money. Then you can still book 7 months out at those other two resorts. Just offering some opinions and ideas.

These are good points, thank you :D

I know it's dumb but it's a psychological thing...having home resort there at Epcot. Still we might not ever go in peak season (except possibly the winter holidays), so maybe it truly does not matter.

Is there any time of year that resales seem to come up in greater quantity (tax time, etc.)? I can be patient, I think..

I've heard/read, so I don't know for sure....That many times people will realize about now (Jan/Feb) that they cannot pay their maintenance fees, and they have gotten in over their heads. (Fees come due at this time of the year.) I don't know how true this is, just thought I'd share.

You'd probably be better off with BWV, but that's a really hard one for me to say-I prefer BCV. Why? It's just the that the theming there appeals to me more-beachy, reminds me of Cape Cod. But BWV does offer the standard view, which means lower points per nite, and it would stretch your points out more nites. However, I agree with the previous poster who said-take whichever you can get-they're both really hard to come by.

We felt the exact same way. We LOVE Epcot resorts. Something about walking into Epcot or taking that boat ride to MGM. We also love walking around the boardwalk at night. We would have bought either BCV or BWV via resale. We wanted around 250 points to start. We found a BWV contract with 230 and jumped on it! The pictures of SSR seem very nice and being able to walk to Downtown Disney is nice, I HATE that bus ride. Our guide really pushed SSR but, DH only wanted an Epcot resort. So, we bought the resale and our thrilled we did! We plan to add some more points in a couple of years when our kids are a little older. Good Luck! princess:
