Home kombucha brewers?

I finally got so tired of spending the $3.50 per bottle that I just tried my hand on a home brew. My first two quarts ripened enough to start two more quarts jars and one gallon brew. I was also able to squeak out 16oz. to bottle...I want to let it go to develop more, I like the fizz

So are there any seasoned brewers out there?

If so, how long does it take to get a good supply going. I feel like most of my brew is going back into making bigger batches. I've got DH hooked and I'd like to get DD drinking it also but the commercial stuff is busting my budget.

Oooh, I love Kombucha! I know what you mean about the price being a killer.

Unfortunately, I've never tried making my own brew (though I've thought about it on many occasions). Is it easy enough to do? What recipe do you follow? Do you have a website you found that you really like instructing you?

Where did you get your starter? I tried to figure that out once, but then didn't follow through.
