We are back from our flying summer visit. Here are our highs and lows.
Highs
Residhome Val d'europe - it was very basic and a bit cramped but the location was perfect for access to the train station so we didn't need to take the car to the parks each day. Thanks to the advice on here the train was really easy to use and quick too.
Rapunzel - She was lovely and we managed to meet her with only about 40 minutes in the queue because she came out an hour before the advertised time
Crowds - The crowds were much less than I was expecting and we managed to get loads more done than I could possibly have hoped for. It was much quieter than the madness of the Friday we were there in June (day after Ascension day public holiday) and although there were lots of people a lot of the rides had shorter queue times than they did for the rest of the week in June.
Tarzan - this was an amazing show and we were all really glad that we watched it. The kids were transfixed by all the acrobatics.
Weather - although it was a bit too hot at times it didn't rain on us.
Managing to stay up for fantilusion and fireworks on both nights, although now we feel very, very tired.
Lows
Not many lows really apart from how tired we all feel now we are home, just a few minor problems:
Evie being sick in the queue for Peter Pan during EMH
Getting lost trying to find the hotel and wasting an hour driving around in circles.
Queues for the Eurotunnel on the way home. We spent about 20 minutes queuing to check in and then another 20 minutes queuing for passport control, it was very chaotic with cars everywhere.
