first off is your house on a slab( concrete base at ground level) pier and beam construction( up on blocks aboe ground )
over a base ment?
cracks are a sure sign of settlement, if you are on a slab or over a basement htis is a big problem and can get very expensive to repair, if pier and beam not so bad, you will need to contact a foundation specialist in any case, he will be able to tell you how badly damaged the foundation is and what can be done o repair it. i have seen houses that were built on substandard slabs and footers to save afew bucks that ended up being torn down because of cracking and settlement, and i have seen ones that had over kill slabs still end up floating and cracking. Foundation problems aer very serious , please ask around and find some one in your area that does house leveling or slab leveling and get iut checked,
