So, today I booked our NYE trip!. We'll be at BCV. Anyone else planning their NYE ?

I can easily see how that could happen! Just borrowed a chunk of our 2015 points today.....

It costs $$$ but we went with other Disboarders to rent an Illuminations Cruise that night. Cost comes to about $80-100 per person, depends if tip is included. We did it once and this past NYE, my sister was able to get in with a group from the Disboards as well.

Watching from the park is definitely doable, we've done Epcot twice and DHS once. It is just easier to see the fireworks from a boat!

The captain does provide extra snacks, we had champaign offered, chocolate covered strawberries and more.

There is a party on the Village Green, fun.

Just booked Dec 26 - 29 at BWV 2bdrm and studio then on the 29th hopefully snagging the GV at BLT for 5 nights over NYE! Cannot wait. I wish we had enough points for 2 GV but we really wanted to go to F&W this year.

Hoping Bobbi, hoping.

I only have enough BWV points, borrowed at that, to do a few days at 11 months so I'm waiting until later next week to make sure I get NYE - it won't be BW viewor Standard but I'll hope for Village Green if it all works out.

And then at seven months I'm hoping to complete the reservation at my home. One has a point problem when you have to wait for seven months at a place you own at.

But I think I'm being smart. Secure NYE and work around it. Christmas reservations are not as difficult.

I just booked 2BR standard view at the BWV 12/28/14-1/03/15. So excited!! Within 15 minutes all SV and BW were gone.

I have to book regular preferred, no matter what happens for me, because I'm adding some nights at 7 months.

Excited to book. Just hoping and hoping and hoping that I can keep the reservation. Crossing my fingers.

I just booked a BWV boardwalk view 1 BR for Dec 29-Jan 2. I tried for a 2 BR but could not get one for all nights and didn't want to waitlist, so I took the 1BR. We've never been there on NYE before and I'm very excited! We will probably celebrate at BWV rather than fight the crowds in the parks, but who knows, there's lots of time to plan that out!

Just booked this morning BLT for NYE through the weekend. Very excited! We have never been for NYE.

Trying to book NYE. The system keeps dropping me before I can finish the reservation. On hold with Member Services as I type - 18 minutes and counting! Ugh!!

Count us in !!!!
We did our first New Years Eve last month and everyone LOVED IT. Yes it is busy but it was crazy fun !!!!
We will be doing things a bit different this time, shorter around NYE but we are going to be in the world earlier that month plus some nights at Vero Beach then back to the world for New Years Eve
So for we have a BLT theme park view studio with a cash discount for Dec. 30 and Dec. 31/1 at BCV on points (home resort.)
I hope to get a week at BWV starting dec. 13 and then a few days leading up to Christmas at Vero ... At least that is the plan for now

Booked BCV Dec 27 -30 and VWL Dec 30 - Jan 3. I was so happy to get both since this is my first time booking during this time. Taking 2 of the grandkids for their first visit (and their parents). I have been warning them of the crowd level but they are willing to do what we need to for maximizing the time. DIL is a teacher so times are limited and they want to see it at Christmas.
