I have decided to rent a home near Disney for my August trip. However, i am unfamiliar of the locations. I want to stay near Old Town and Rt. 192 but also close to Disney of course. I have seen many development names. A few are: Creekside, Davenport area, Sunset ridge, Loma Vista. Does anyone out there know any good developments fitting my description above?

Thanks, they are booking fast though.

You can try
Indian Creek, Emerald Island, Oak Island Cove, Windsor Hills, Windsor Palm.
They are all about 5 miles to Disney. They are about 10 miles to Old Town Kissimmee.

All of these communities are ideal to where you want to be.

Any information you may need you can get from FLParadisevill she is a wealth of information.

I have gotten almost all of mine from either her or another Diser SpiceyCat.
I think I have a clue but when up against either of them I am an amateur.

Deb,

Both crjack and Karen

You give me to much credit but thanks any way.

I find the more time you spend down there the better acclimated you become and with us owners having to check on the homes we spend not only time in the parks but around the general area.

My husband is amazed at how well I get around down there. I tell him he is so lucky to have me still. Honestly it is all by trial and error. I now am familiar with different areas, names of streete, I4 going east to west and not north and south that had me for a while till I got a larger map and noticed it does go north to south but from one coast to the other.

I also try new things when down, but also go back to the tried and true.

Deb,
I agree we have spent so much time lost and driving in circles and stumbled on some fun things!
My husband tells me he couldn't get threw the airport with out me. I can get lost in my back yard here but seem to find my way in Florida! LOL

We did break down and get a Garmin to take on our trips it can help with not getting lost so much! Although it always wants to put us on I4 and we try to avoid the I4 because of the traffic.

Its fun getting lost on vacation though you dont have a schedule to worry about! :yay:
