Home Depot - LGMH paint chips discontinued?

A fellow DISer said Wal-Mart now sells Disney Paint! Have not looked in stores yet but they have some fun stuff on-line.

Yes!! We saw it at our local walmart here in Texas this past saturday!

I saw the paints at wal-mart too but they didn't have the mickey head paint chips.

Our hd paint guy said they discontinued partially because they sold very little of the actual paint but had to constantly reorder the paint chips. Those cost the stores money. So when people take handfuls for crafts (thanks pinterst)it cost the store money.

Exactly - what did everyone expect to have happen? Why was it expected that Home Depot would forever supply free samples of paint colors to people with no interest in actually buying the paint? I'm not surprised at all. Actually, I would have expected the company who makes the paint samples to just do away with the Mickey shape and go to regular squares.

I've always been surprised at how many people on these boards have no qualms about taking these paint chips with no intention of purchasing the paint.

For one you should always go to Lowe's secondly I noticed today at our Walmart that they now carry the Disney Paint. I'm sure it is going to be rolled out through the country just may take some times.

Just confirming that they are being sold in Walmart now, and the paint is Glidden.

Disney Baby posted a link to pictures of the new paint offerings (they have some new offerings..chalkboard paint, glow in the dark paint, etc).
