Our Home Depot offers a kids project the first Saturday of every month. We just returned from taking our Cub Scout Den there to build a plant box. The Home Depot provided all of the materials free of charge. It was a prepackaged kit. The kids had to sand the pre-cut wood and nail the pieces together. The age range was from 2 (my own) to probably about 10. The kids really had fun. Each child took home a collectors pin and a Home Depot apron. It was a wonderful experience.

I would think this type of program might be available where ever the Home Depot is located. So, if you have a child who might be interested in something like this, maybe you want to check with your local store.

We have done a couple of them and had a great time.

Good tool for the Depot to get families into the stores.

We do similar things at Lowe's..:)

Lowes Also has this. The one here is the Second Sat of the month. Free of Charge. Dorian loves it.

We took our scout den several years ago. It was great!
