Home Away from Homes - Disney in December

Hi~

My whole family is looking to go to Disney World in December (9-13) and we are looking into the 1bedroom & 2bedroom villas at various resorts. I wanted to know how to get the best deal and also if anyone knows where I could get layouts of each resort. We were thinking about getting maybe a 2 bedroom villa and than a regular room at the resort but wanted to know how far away they are from each other. Example - Beach Club Villas and a Beach Club standard room - are they too far apart?

Just and FYI This time of year is very popular with DVC members..The rooms available to regular guests is extremely limited. So, I'd at least try to see if the rooms were available and put a deposit down while trying to decide. That is if these rooms are even available still.

Getting a room at YC/BC and the villas would be in the same resort but it is a large resort. I'd figure on a couple minutes walk with going in and out of buildings.

Having a villa is a great thing we love our DVC timeshare...

The map for Beach Club is old, the villas are located where the valet parking & tennis courts were. At Boardwalk, the villas are on the right, the inn on the left.

I have read alot about people renting points from DVC members for stays at the DVC resorts (home away from home) you may want to look into that ... there is a board here that discusses that ... good luck!
