We will be staying at Saratoga Springs in a 1 bedroom. During our stay we will only have one day of mousekeeping/towel replacement. Do we wash our own towels? Are there other things we are required to "clean up" before we check out? Do they provide laundry soap?

You are essentially required only to have a good time. :earsboy: Generally speaking, there are enough towels to last a few days unless you use them as napkins. ;) As for cleaning anything up, you only need to do as much as you feel like for your own sanity--no cleaning requirements exist. It's a resort, not a penal colony. pirate: There will be one small box of laundry soap provided for you, and more is available at the on-site store.

One of the things my family likes about DVC resorts is that we can relax, kick back, and enjoy our time when not in the parks by spreading out in the rooms. After rubbing elbows with thousands of our closest friends, it's a wonderful treat to go "home." I feel certain you will enjoy the amenities a 1BR has to offer such as the full kitchen, nice bathroom, large sitting area, and the washer/dryer. You might even get spoiled. Have fun! :paw:

No requirements as far as cleaning.

I wash towels if necessary, it's no big deal because of washer and dryer in the room. I think you can call for additonal towels but there may be a charge.

Actually, I wash all our clothes when there. It's nice to come home with clean clothes in the suitcases.

In a one bedroom, you will probably have four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. You will get one single use box of Tide. You will have a stackable washer and dryer in your villa. You can buy more detergent and supplies at the store or at the laundry room (studios don't have washers and dryer, so they provide a laundry room).

Lots of members will strip off the bed linens and put the soiled towels in the tub. But you don't have to. We just like to do it to help the staff get the room prepared a little more quickly for the next member.

You don't need to run the dishwasher since they housekeepers will run that when they do the final cleaning for the next guest. Unless you run out of dishes. You will have dishwasher detergent and a small bottle of dishwashing liquid.

During your stay, if you stay longer than 8 nights, you will get a full cleaning on day 4 (with day one the day you check in). If you stay less than 8 nights, you will get your trash removed and your towels replaced on day 4.

Enjoy your stay.

no cleaning in allow :rotfl: :rotfl: BUT 1 suggestion is that if you use the fold out couch bed ,please when you check-out just open the couch so HK knows to put on new sheets. Believe me if it's not opened HK will 50% of the time forget about it. We read on these boards about guests opening the couch at night just to find it was never changed.

Thanks for all of the replies. I had a coworker just stay at a timeshare resort in Nashville and they had things they needed to do before they checked out. They washed towels (don't think this was a requirement), they had to run the dishwasher and strip all the beds and put linens in the kitchen in a pile before they left. I guess they should have gone to Disney! :rotfl:

Many timeshares have similar requirements as well as an inventory checklist when you check in. Personally I don't find it a big deal but I know some do. The only ones that worry me are the ones that require an inspection.

McGraw, are you renting from a member or booked through Disney? If you booked with Disney, it will be just like staying in any Disney resort. They'll take care of making the beds every day, straightening up, etc., etc. Members have the less frequent housekeeping to help keep down the cost of dues. We can pay a fee to have daily housekeeping if we'd like it.
