We are home!

We arrived early Fri. morn. for a 2 night stay at the Lodge. We transferred over to the villas yesterday for the remainder of our trip.

Fri we went to Typ. Lagoon. 1st time ever at a waterpark here. We loved it! Going back today for more.

Fri night we went to MK for 2 hrs. It was crowded but nothing out of ordinary for a Fri this time of year. SM was a 70 min wait w/ all FPs gone. So we did TTA then JC before leaving. We had been up since 6:30am Thurs so running on fumes.

Sat we went to Kennedy Space Center. This was a 1st also. We met AnnieT(fellow DISer) there. That was a fun and very informative day. Words dont describe the magnifigence of those huge rockets! They look so skinny in those old shots from the Apollo/Saturn yrs. But they are massive up close! Just amazing to realize the force it takes to get those babies off the ground and into space. We had a lot of laughs that day also.

Sun AnnieT and her DH Alan met us here at the Lodge. We went to AK and checked out EE. What an awesome ride! Great addition to AK. It definitely makes that park more attractive to visit. And the crowds showed it. We have never seen that many people at AK. It was a 70-90 min wait at EE. We got FPs and rode at 2:35. At 3:35, after riding Dinosaur we headed back towards EE. It was stopped, with riders on the track at the top hill. I felt so sorry for those folks. No shade! It was like that for at least 30-45 mins. Not sure why. CMs werent revealing much. I will add pictures to this post later today.

We had a good time but probably werent great company for Alan and Annie. I think we were still recovering from lack of sleep fromThurs/Fri. So sorry to Alan and Annie. We always have a great time with yall!

Hey, Jimmy. Hope you and Tammy are having a great time at VWL. We'll be back there at Thanksgiving. Does Tammy have you in training for the marathon yet?

Thanx for the report! Wish I was there!

I also met Annie and Alan a couple years back. I doubt she is speaking to me now though, as I've been very bad at sending emails... :guilty:

RF is still going through the change :teeth: Cuurently they have a very limited supply of items. The dining room has turned into the food area/cash register area and small tables are just outside the door in the hall. The new area being redone has the registers closer to the doorway. Beyond that, it is hard to see what else has changed. Looking forward to its reopening.

We are having a nice trip. And Tammy is running me hard getting ready for that marathon. Have lost 20 lbs. since you saw me last. Secretly, I think she is trying to kill me :stir:

Wish you were here also. I always love to meet fellow VWL lovers. And as for Annie and Alan, I dont think there are any problems there. Annie just mentioned you the other day in a conversation. Write her, she would probably very much appreciate it.

We too were amazed at the crowds at AK when we went early February. At that time the soft openings still seemed up in the air, we weren't sure if the ride would be running, but it was and everyone seemed to know about it. No fastpasses though.

Great ride and a great thing for the AK. I've always liked the AK a lot but this ride really gives it the shot in the arm it needed.

thanks for posting, enjoy your trip!

It was sort of weird AK being that crowded! But it is a good thing to see. It needed a boost like that for sure.

We just returned from a day at MK where FP strategy came into play. Then went to Epcot. DW and DS did San Angel While DD and I did Biergarten. Got to play the ol C of Progress trick on a DF back home. Waited til the song started then called him, stuck the phne up to the speaker and said "Have a magical day"!!

Its a running joke. He does it to me every time he gets on Small World. Turnabout is fair play I say :thumbsup2

Sorry for long delay in posting. You know how it is, you get caught up in everyhting in WDW.
Oh well, DS, my dad and I went to the Braves-Indians game yesterday. All of us going tonight after Epcot to see Braves-Nationals.
Going home tomorrow, back to reality.
DW, DD and my mom did AK yesterday. DW sad it wasnt near as crowded as Sun but EE was still 1 hr wait. If going there, get a FP 1st thing.
We typically have never had a problem with next door neighbors here at VWL, but man have we got some noisy folks close by. 2 very small kids, and a very loud dad. I feel like banging on the door! :teeth:

Great report! I've only been home a couple of weeks, and I'm already home sick for it!

Isn't EE just amazing???? I loved it, but I quickly learned that one should NOT go on it several times in quick succession. The third time in a row made me quite motion sick!

Keep the pics coming! I am going to VWL in June and have never stayed there before....the pics are getting me excited!! :woohoo:
