We ended up going out to a local place...I had fried bologna :goodvibes

Seriously. THis is exactly the kind of dinner that DH LOVES....and why he likes to eat at home.....I personally HATE fried bologna. I don't like meat sticks, or jerky, or sausage, or kielbasi......
give me a piece of chicken
or a nice cut of steak
or even a hamburger
but none of that chopped pieces parts stuff....

I have never heard of fried bologna.
Seriously?

As you can see from the names that are being chosen these days, no name is ever too out there any more.

::yes:: There is a little girl in M's class with the girls name I like (she is the only child I know with the name). I don't know anyone who has the boy name I like.

Seriously!!
I don't know of any kosher place that makes it. How is it made?
I don't buy meats with nitrates since they give DS and me migraines. I buy organic hot dogs for him, made without nitrates.

Lots of "old" names come back into favor, too

Names like Emma, Elizabeth...

We have mostly traditional names at my school
but a few unusual ones that I like are Lilliana and Gavin

I hate hot dogs.
I don't think I have eaten one since I was two years old. Blech!

Bologna sausage (pronounced /boˈloʊni/) is an American sausage somewhat similar to the Italian mortadella, (a finely hashed/ground pork sausage containing cubes of lard that originated in the Italian city of Bologna). US Government regulations require American bologna to be finely ground[1], and it does not contain visible pieces of fat. Bologna can alternatively be made out of chicken, turkey, beef, or pork. It is commonly called bologna and often pronounced and/or spelled baloney. The origin of the name also comes from the origin of mortadella, which is native to Bologna.[

.....soooooo, anyone care to make a friendly wager on how many parents WON'T show up tonight at our Back-to-School evening???

Hot dogs are good.

Blech.

I could go meatless, easily.
But not substituting tofu or anything.

I like salads, and veggies
and pasta and cheese
and bread

Lots of delicious soy-meats out there.

I could eat cereal and milk for most meals and be very happy.
