Here is a photo of the School Bread that I always get....just to compare to yours.

I hope they did not mess with my SB!!! I would like if they had BOTH, so then I ....well...could have BOTH!!!!!

There is another thread about this at the minute . . . they have changed the schoolbread! The topping is now caramel and the coconut is toasted. I am looking really forward to the new version, but most people seem horrified!!!

You should love Jiko. The whole feel of the place was just great.. Everyone was so friendly. Top notch, imo!!

Just got back, we went to narcoossees's also, it was ok.. Husband had whole lobster and loved it, I had filet ordered it medium well and they butterflied it without telling me. I would have said no just cook the outside more. The meat was tough and the steak was well done, however I didn't complain. Didn't really understand how bad of a cut the filet was until later in the week after eating the Le Cellier filet (which was ordered medium well and not butterflied)).. I would love to try JIko next time.

I have a few minutes so I thought I would pick up with some more food pics..

This was a crazy day. We were just going to take it easy..head to downtown for a bit, have some lunch, etc.. We were then going to head to MK and then have dinner and go back to MK.

We ended up spending so much time in DTD that it was time for dinner before we knew it..lol

For lunch.. Wolfgang Puck Express of course...

This was all just devine as always. I really can't say enough good things about this place. I love everything we have tried here.


Later we went over to Goofy's Candy Co. to make a Stitch mug which I forgot to take a picture of and do the make your own treats.. Pretzels..

and of course I took photos of more of the goodies while there..

When we got back to the hotel we started to debate dinner. We loved Jiko the night before and were really wanting to try Boma at this point. We had Kona booked for this night but were not really wanting that. I called down to Boma and they said they could seat us in 30 minutes.

We drove over and as soon as I walked in they were ready to seat us. Wow, quickest service all week. They saw my anniversary button and gave me a really cute card. We were seated at a nice table by the windows. It was so nice.

I did not go up and take pics of all the food but I sure wanted to. I was worried about this one since we are so picky but WOW! It was all so good. Granted..we were not really brave with what we tried but everything we did try was great.

Oh my, the desserts.. they were great! I LOVED LOVED LOVED zebra domes and fruit tarts! Next time I go here I shall eat just plate after plate of these..lol MMMMM....


Here was the cute birthday treat they brought out for dh! It was so cool and very good!

We will definitely do Boma again. I loved everything about it.


After this we rushed over to the Mk for just a few minutes before closing. Then, I had this crazy craving for Zebra Domes again so it was BACK to AKL just before they closed the Mara up so I could grab a pack of them.

Oh yeah, and we made a stop over at the Poly that night so I snapped these pics for the sushi lovers..

This was the exact same concern I had about them, for the same reasons. I'm happy to say I could not detect any coffee flavoring in them at all! And as we were staying at AKL, we got more than our share of them from the Mara - way too good!

No way! I do not like coffee at all so you can bet I would not have liked them had they tasted like it..lol They were SOOO good. No coffee flavor to me. You will LOVE them!

Ok, on to Narcoossee's. Sorry it has taken me forever. I can't seem to get everyone over this virus. Thank goodness we got it AFTER we got home and not while there. ACK!

For you guys going, I hope you have an awesome trip and get friendlier service than we did..

Sorry y'all have all been so sick. But you are right that it is better to be sick at home than at Disney!

So, was your server inattentive or just not terribly friendly? I ask because I would much rather have a server who isn't terribly friendly than one that is inattentive. Also, there are many times when I don't want a chatty server. If I'm tired, I just want them to do their job and a good server can sense this. I was just wondering.
