Has anyone been to the Holy Land Park? Did you like it? Is it worth the money and about how long do you need to see it? Thanks again.

Kemi, I haven't been since it first opened and it was about a half day's visit back then. They have since opened the new Scriptorium, which should add more to the experience. It is not really my idea of entertainment (or education for that matter), but it has become very popular very quickly and gets some strong feedback from those who identify with the park's religious ideals.

Our family enjoyed it a lot, shortly after it first opened. We thought it was worth the price and spent about 5-6 hours there. We really took our time, looking at everything. Loved the city model of Jerusalem, supposedly reflecting the way the city would have looked during the period of the New Testament events. There was a very informative speaker who used a laser pointer and described features of the model while giving a fascinating talk and answering questions.

We hope to return again, now that Scriptorium is open. Some of the online discount ticket sales places (like this one) offer discounted tickets, so look around. I haven't ordered through them, so cannot vouch for them. Watch the shipping fees. Or, here is a $2 discount (per person) coupon, good for up to 6 people. HTH.

My parents went about a year ago and loved the Scriptorium. The thought that was almost worth the admission by itself.

They thought the other stuff was OK. My young nephews liked the model of Jerusalem.

If Marquis Laughlin is performing while you are there be sure to go check him out. He came to our church a couple months ago and I was very impressed with him.

We visited Holy Land Experience in June of this year. My family and I enjoyed this park very much. The actors were very good, especially the one who played Jesus. They give you a park guide that tells you what time the different shows are. One show I remember in particular was "The Ministry of Jesus" where the actors re-enacted some of Jesus' miracles from the Bible. You felt like you were part of the crowd 2,000 years ago.
