Day One....

Cast of Characters
Kelly - Fiancee
Katelyn - Kelly's 14 year old daughter
Me - 33 year old nutcase

Of course our night of sleep turned into a night of staring at the ceiling hoping morning will come so we can get started on our trip. We were leaving from Trenton, Ontario to drive to Buffalo to fly out on Scarewest the next day. The date is March 1st 2006. Packing was a chore as always. Not sure why I packed 15 pair of underwear for 10 days especially since we had a washer and dryer in the room but I over prepare for everything. Did i mention i had maps printed out for absolutely everything? After we were ready to go we logged onto Southwest's website to do on online check in and get our boarding passes which I'm glad we did. I should mention I haven't travelled since I was a child so I have no clue on what I'm doing at an airport and the anxiety was building.
After Kelly had her little cry fest leaving her cat we started out on our journey to Buffalo. We were excited and now that i am thinking about it we were probably the only people in the world to be excited to get to Buffalo, sure their wings are good but what else is there? First stop on our journey, Tim Horton's on the 401. We as Canadians have a duty to stop at every Tim Horton's there is, it's like a dog marking it's territory or something. We decided to take the 407 toll highway to bypass Toronto traffic which I'm glad we did. We get to the Buffalo border and the nervousness sets in, not sure why as were not criminals but authority intimidates me. Our turn comes up and we hand guard our passports, he asks where we were born, where we were going and were we were going to stay then waves us through. Very quick and painless and more exuberant we couldn't be. Thanks to my excellent planning and maps we quickly found the Millenium Hotel in Buffalo and checked in and lugged our million pounds of luggage into the room. We drove around and went to a pharmacy to get beer basically and we ended up getting snacks for the night as well, the prices of everything seemed so low especially beer, a 6 pack of Labatt's was on for $4.99, in Canada it is $10.95 for the same 6 pack so yes were getting ripped off. After we got our beer and chips and junior mints we headed to the mall right by our hotel, can't remember the name of that mall but it was a good size, we ate at some 50's diner place in there that had a jukebox at everytable and they give you three nickels for three songs that will play through the whole restaurant. We headed back to the hotel and went for a swim in this very dead hotel, I was beginning to think we were the only guests here.
Everything is smooth so far and we settled in for the night.

Were leaving for Disney in the morning.....yippee!!!!

Sounds like an uneventful trip to Buffalo. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

Thanks for posting!

Day 2 Part 1

Cast of Characters
Kelly - Fiancee
Katelyn - Kelly's 14 year old daughter
Me - 33 year old nutcase

We had a wake up call scheduled for 7am but didn't really need it as we really didn't sleep, again our excitement had the better of us and at 5am we were laying there giddy as could be so I decided to make my first stupid purchase, "Dick and Jane" the movie at 6am in our room for $10.95. This movie isn't worth $1.95 but it passed the time until we were ready to head to lobby and catch shuttle. Kelly and Katelyn in the meantime made their way down to some restaurant in the hotel for some food as Katelyn can't go 10 minutes without shoveling something into her mouth. Basically the theme to the whole trip is what is Katelyn going to eat next. Now what came next I really wasn't expecting. On our way to the airport in our shuttle our driver seemed to be going a little fast considering it was very snowy and slushy outside but who am I to tell him to slow down. Getting right near the airport there is a large corner and our driver was going a pretty good clip, the drivers says "HANG ON" and the shuttle goes completely sideways. Right at this moment I thought to myself "Months of planning and saving for this trip are all gone now that this idiot is going to kill us" but miraculously he regained control and saved our pathetic lives.
Needless to say as soon as we got out of that shuttle of death Kelly lit up a cigarette.
We used curbside for our luggage check in but the guy working there was a real jerk, he game me the tags to fill out and said to put my last name on them, well the tag had spots for first, last and phone number so i proceeded to fill all spots out which seemed to irritate him. I tipped him $5 which seemed to irritate Kelly but I thought I better since I pissed him off with filling it out and he's now has possession of our luggage and I didn't want it to end up in Alaska.
We then got in the endless security line which I will not complain about because I wasn't excited about flying to begin with and with them checking everyone out very close made me more at ease. Everyone was going through security with no problems at all except Kelly. I should explain she had a childhood cancer and the bone from her shoulder to her elbow on her left arm was replaced with a medal rod. Bells and whistles went off as she passed through security. She was whisked away to a screening area where they wanded her to death. She eventually came out. We then headed to the gate. Now the reason i chose Southwest was 2 fold, I love the show 'Airline' and it's cheap, the cheapness was the deciding factor. I was hoping for a camera crew there but then I realized we were in Buffalo International Airport not LAX.
Now because I checked in online 24 hours earlier we get A boarding, we felt special. I thought A boarding was the best but then I noticed they have a thing called preboarding, this is for people in wheelchairs and people with children under 4, they get Creme de la creme seating. So we get on board and our seats overlook the left wing. It was a full flight, they had the George Washington Mens NCAA basketball team onboard this flight, as we were pulling away from the gate the plane loses power, we were thrust into complete darkness, everyone went quiet except for one of the basketball players who let us all know he 'Sharted' himself, I don't think I need to explain that.
The plane took off shortly after regaining power but I wasn't feeling confident at this point. I'm the type of person that needs complete control of moving vehicles so to be stuck in this cramped tube with 180 other people was really freaking me out. The weather was bad so the plane was jerking all over the place, I half expected to look out onto the wing and see that little monster from the twilight zone movie ripping the wing apart. I white knuckled it to Baltimore anyway where we had to switch planes which I am never getting connecting flights ever again, non stop for me from now on because I really didn't feel like going back up in the air again so soon but what was the alternative. The second part of the flight was non eventful thank god. We land in Orlando and I basically have no clue what to do next. I decided to follow everyone else and pretend I knew where I was going, then it dawned on me that we are getting our luggage. I was still traumatized from the flight so little things like gathering our luggage slipped my mind. We got all our luggage and a guy came over with a cart asking if we needed help, little did he know how much help we needed. Paying this guy to haul our luggage to our rental car was the best investment of the whole trip, I didn't realize how far it was and plus I had no clue where to go anyway.
I've never rented a car before so I thought it was cool how you just pick out your vehicle, I had reserved a SUV from Alamo before hand and even checked in online the day before so after we choose our Uplander we just drive up to window and give our confirmation number and my licence and we were on our way.....

stay tuned for part 2 of Day 2....

I took 500 pictures once we get there so there will lots of pictures to come....

Day 2 Part 2

So we decided ahead of time we would stop and get groceries along the way and some dis'ers suggested SuperTarget. I should also mention that it is now about 4:30pm and we have tickets for La Nouba at 9:00pm so we weren't feeling pressure yet. We stopped at Supertarget off exit 11. Now I have to mention the tolls in Florida, they drive me nuts, luckily I knew that exit 11 had a 50 cent correct change only toll because I researched it ahead of time but what a pain in the butt these tolls are, ok back to SuperTarget. I love this store, being from Canada we don't have this store, this place was huge and the prices were great. We bought the basic staples for our breakfasts like bacon, eggs etc....we picked up some beer as well since it's so cheap here. My girlfriend Kelly got Id's for the beer on checkout which was funny as she's 31 and her 14 year old daughter was there as well, she always gets Id'ed, even in Canada where the drinking age is 19 she gets carded. Anyway we left Target having only spent $83 and headed for the World. Driving past the DW arch is the best feeling ever, it's like your entering a make belief world where there is no stress and everything is happy. Thanks to the great Disney signs we located the Epcot Resort section and proceed to Boardwalk where we were welcomed home, how nice.
Now I should explain this trip was made possible because my extremely generous sister let us use some of her DVC points for our one bedroom villa for 10 days, yes she's an extremely cool sister.
Boardwalk blew me away, I'm used to days inn when we go somewhere so when we entered the lobby I was blown away, everything was so clean and beautiful I was so excited by this point. We got our room cards and headed to the third floor to room 3123 which is waaaaaay down the hall. We checked out the room which was unbelieveable and waited for bell services to bring our luggage and groceries. I should also mention the people that work at Boardwalk are extremely nice people. I tipped the guy that took our luggage out of our vehicle and put it on the cart $5, I hope that was enough, I felt this was a ritzy place so not sure what people tip here. The guy that brought all our stuff to the room I tipped $10 because we had a pile of stuff and it's quite a trek down the hall to get to our room. We put all our groceries away and unpacked somewhat and just kind of hung out on the balcony for a while trying to take this all in. I had been to Disney twice before staying offsite both times but this was Kelly and Katelyn's first time there so I was enjoying them being excited. I believe I jumped in the shower as I was crazy hot and it had been a long day to this point. We made it to boardwalk bustop between 7pm and 7:30pm. I know I could have driven to Downtown Disney but I wasn't familiar on how to get there so I thought we'd just bus it. The first three buses that came buy were headed to Magic Kingdom which I thought was weird but then a Downtown Disney Bus did come buy. I didn't know you had to get on the bus at the front so I jumped on at the back door and got yelled at, it was a little embarrassing. Some nice people on the bus let us know to not get off at Marketplace but to get off at westside which we did. We entered downtown disney and the place is eye candy, so many lights and so much stuff going on, it is pretty cool. We located La Nouba but still had an hour to kill and by now we were starving to death so we wanted some grub. We wanted something quick and most stuff on the westside is sit down places so we headed into Pleasure Island and found a little place called "The Missing Link" and ate some stuff.

From there we headed back over to La Nouba and they were allowing people into the Theatre. We had great seats, front row of second section so no one directly in front of us.
The usher in front of us was hilarious because she was such a digital camera nazi. Taking pictures is a huge no-no at Cirque, even if it's a picture into the crowd it doesn't matter, no pictures period. She was scanning the whole building and radioing other ushers telling them where there were digital camera perpetrator's were seated. She had a thing in her sleeve to be able to talk to the other ushers, she reminded me of the secret service kinda. Anyway she thoroughly kept us entertained until the entertainment began.
I can't say enough about this show, there was so much to look at and see I was like a kid in a candy shop. There was one point where a guy was walking a tightrope with a women doing a handstand on his head. I felt like we didn't pay enough for the tickets and wanted to sent the Cirque people more money it was that good. I didn't want it to end but sadly it did. We then took the bus back to Boardwalk which took FOREVER. I didn't realize it stopped at the swan, then dolphin then a million other places before getting back to the resort. We finally made it back and we all zonked out and we hadn't even checked the Boardwalk out yet....

Stay tuned for Day 3 at Epcot

Am loving your report - what a great adventure you are having so far! Isn't the Boardwalk awesome?!! We were there once in 1997 and loved it - hope to go back this year again. What view did you have? I agree the CM's there are great! :thumbsup2

We also had first row second tier at the Circus - and the attendant kept us amused before the show. Talk about the job going to her head - she was funnier than the clowns :rotfl2: I can honestly say she was the most miserable person we saw at Disney!! :lmao:

Great reports :thumbsup2

Day 3

We awoke to Mickey's friendly voice at 7:00am and promptly jumped out of bed, well at least I did. Kelly is basically useless until she has her coffee so we just leave her alone for safety reasons. :surfweb: I wanted to do Epcot first as this is my favorite park and we are nice and close as well. We headed to the Friendship boat at around 8:30am and a boat promptly showed up and carried us to the International gateway, I would have walked but at this time I didn't realize how close we were to the gate. I knew once we were inside we would have to make a mad dash to Soarin' I didn't realize how far Soarin was from the International gateway. We basically ran there at rope drop and the line wasn't that bad yet thank god so we got on that pretty much right away, this was our first ride at Disney and it was amazing. We had the middle row and we didn't even notice the people above and below us, I loved the pre-show with Puddy from Seinfeld, he was basically playing Puddy.
After that we stayed in that building and rode "Living with the earth" which I always love, they are doing some great work, very important stuff, afterall who wouldn't want a pumpin in the shape of Mickey?

Picture013.jpg

After this ride we did the Circle of Life movie, sure it's a little corny, save the planet blah, blah, blah but kelly is the biggest Lion King fan of all time so we did it, the theatre was empty.

By this time we had only been in Epcot for 45 minutes and have done 3 attractions so the Commando was coming out of me and we kicked it into high gear. We then headed over to see "honey i shrunk the audience" but it didn't start right away so we went downstairs and played with those Kodak computers and put our face's on animals....i can only find mine.

michel.jpg

We then did Honey and it was pretty good, this was the first of many 3D movies where they spray you with water, never get tired of that. :3dglasses

After the show we headed over to the Living Seas because i really wanted to see Turtle Talk with crush. Now I would suggest Disney maybe have a bigger room for this as the park was fairly dead that day and we still waited about 45 minutes to get in. It was cute and I was tempted to take a picture until someone else did and Crush looked into the audience and said "No Flash Photography Dudes!", i put the camera away, afterall he is a snapping turtle.

After Crush we wanted to look through some buildings and the first one we came too was the one where the characters are and sign autographs. I'm 33, Kelly's 31 and Kate is 14 but were a sucker for the characters so Kate got an autograph book and began the autograph collecting. Disney has this new this called Photopass now and it's genius, you get a credit card looking thing and everytime a Disney photographer takes your picture they scan this card and before you know you have tons of pics, I think we ended up with 53 altogether and that wasn't even purposely looking for these photographers so you can imagine how many pics are done a day. I figured out a way to get the pictures for free from their site, I'll fill ya in on that later in our journey.

After posing with Mickey

We headed over to get fast passes for test track and when the fastpass came out we got a bonus fastpass for mission Space for right so we rode that, I felt a little nausiated when coming off this ride and decided we needed to grab a bite to eat and sit down momentarily, I love ya Gary Sinise but that space ride mixed my guts all up. We grabbed a couple of footlongs and a beer and felt great after we ate. We went through a few other buildings and rode Spaceship earth (am I the only one thats blown away with all that stuff thats in that oversized golfball, just when you think you must be near the top you get to the dome section and wonder how the hell all that fits in there.) By the time this was done it was time for test track, I have read alot about this ride and know it's broke down alot but it was running fine when we were there, this is a great ride being a crash test dummy, it reminded me of my shuttle ride to the Buffalo airport.

We then proceeded to Universe of Energy which we almost skipped because they said it was a 37 minute ride but i hadn't realized they revamped it with Ellen, it was a great ride and am so glad we went through it.
After Energy we walked through a large souvenir shop and thats when i found out Kate loves tinkerbell, or tink for short. This was news to me but I started to get worried as this was our first day at the park and she's latched onto a character. I got suckered into buying her a pair of sunglasses for $25 just because I'm an easy target. :cool1: We had given her $100 earlier that day but she didn't want to use that money, Mom was nowhere around so she suckered me in. at this time my feet were barking, my Reebok's are evil and gave me blisters the first day, and I thought it would be a perfect time for a little relaxation back at our villa, thats right i'm gonna call it a villa, i feel special. ;)
We weren't relaxed for long when Kate asked "when we were going to ride that...."pointing to the Tower of Terror, from our balcony we can see TOT on the right and Spaceship earth on the left so we were in a pretty good location. Because this was our first day i was up for anything so I said lets go!! We rode the boat over to MGM as well and the park wasn't that bad, this was Friday of ESPN weekend but the crowds were manageable. We got a fastpass for Rockin roller Coaster and then got in line for TOT. I have been dying to ride this since way back in the early ninties when they were building TOT but hadn't completed it yet so i didn't get to ride it on my last trip. This was a great ride, i had no clue that the elevator actually comes out of the shaft and moves. I got a pretty good pictures in between being dropped the second or third time considering the camera I was using doesn't take great pictures while in motion.

Picture014.jpg

We then headed to RNR and what a great ride this is, i love anything in the dark, the ride probably wouldn't be that scary if it was lit up but in the dark you are at the mercy of the ride and hope to god you make it to the end. The premise of this ride is a limo is taking you to the Aerosmith concert.
I'm excited for next years Rolling stones roller coaster called 'rockin wheelchair coaster', Mick tested it out and broke his hip.

So far i have fit into all the rides which was great, i'm not huge but big enough that I was a little worried about some of the rides.

After the roller coaster it was dark and i wanted to get back to Epcot for Illuminations and it was extra magic hours there as well so we made a pit stop at the Villa ;) then headed over to Epcot. We found a great spot by the wall in Morocco and didn't move until the show was over, this is the first time I have seen this show and it was quite good. After the show we were hungry again and were looking all over for some food, were in the world showcase so you wouldn't think it would be that hard but we stopped in Germany and the sausage and sauerkraut really didn't look that good. I'm not sure what i felt like but it wasn't this, we went through all the countries and decided on Fish and chips in England. I highly suggest the fish and chips there, the batter is so fluffy, I don't know how they do it. I was dying for a beer at this point so i went into the Crown and Rose pub to get a beer, everyone was drinking out of these huge plastic glasses, i think people call them yards. i didn't know what kind of beer to get so I got the same brand as the guy in front of me, what a mistake. I don't know what it was but it felt like I was eating a meal. On a funny note english people are known for their bad teeth thanks to Austin powers but this one guy that was English that was there with his friends puts them all to shame, this guy made Steve Buscemi look like he had pearly whites. I thought his teeth were fake but they were too bad to be fake, he was intoxicated as well and when he talked I couldn't understand him, he sounded like Brad Pitt from Snatch, "You like Daggs?"
After I drank down that sewer water of a beer it hit me, it hit me hard, it could have been a combination of the little sleep and all day in the sun but I felt hammered. We proceeded back to the Villa ;) and I fell fast asleep looking forward to Animal Kingdom.

Stay tuned for Day 4 in Animal kingdom

Great stories so far! I'm looking forward to hearing more! Also, I love the morphed picture. Will have to try that! :thumbsup2

Enjoying your reports ~ Can't wait for more.

Day 4

Well I have to admit I wasn't really excited to go to Animal kingdom. Everything I read about it almost made me wanna skip it but I am so glad we didn't. The one thing about this park i would change would be the entrance, when you first enter you either have to go right or left around the oasis to get to the tree of life, this place can get a little congested. Kelly had a problem with her Disney pass and was sent to guest services, this has been ongoing, she can't get through security at the airports, her disney pass doesn't work, she's a heat seeker. After that was straightened around we made it in and headed right to the back to get a fastpass for Expedition Everest. Stopping for the necessary picture of course.

Picture025.jpg

After we got the pass we headed to kali river rapids, there was no one in line, the tubes were empty so we hopped in. One great thing about Disney that other parks overlook is Disney has a place to put your stuff on all the rides unlike universal which makes you get a stupid locker for your stuff. Anyway we rode this and didn't get too wet and we were asked if we wanted to stay on it again, we didn't. We then decided to do the Pangani Exploration Trail which was educational and boring at the same time, kinda like school. We headed back to Everest and noticed something being filmed. It was Michelle Kwan and some kids with Goofy doing some promo with Everest in the background. The kids and Michelle kept messing up and I could see the anxiety on the director's face he just wanted to get this done. He finally came over and told Michelle and the kids that they had to get it right on this take as Goofy had to leave. It seemed odd to me that Goofy had a prior engagement, he's goofy, there must be more that one goofy outfit at the park yet he had to leave. Michelle who is a world champion and 1998 silver medalist didn't have a prior engagement but goofy did.

Picture030.jpg

We left there and walked right onto everest with our fastpasses. This ride was quite good, the yeti inside was great. When we got off i wanted to do it again but by then the fastpasses were for far into the afternoon and I figured we wouldn't be anywhere near there at that point so we set out to Dinoland. Dinoland was kinda blah, Tarzan was shut down so the only other thing for us to do there was the ride dinosaur. The rest of dinoland felt like a travelling fair with the rides they had. Dinosaur was a pretty good ride, you get jerked around alot. We watched this painter show in Dinoland as well, they were alright but I have seen better entertainers at the parks.

We then headed over to the 3D show "It's tough to be a bug" I loved this, your in the root system of the Tree of Life and the movie was great. It was a little scary for the little ones and I saw quite a few parents walk out with their screaming kids. Once this show was over we decided on some food so we went to the Flame tree BBQ and had Pulled pork and Turkey sandwiches, this was probably the best lunch we had all trip, i highly recommend their food. In Canada we have seaguls everywhere begging for food but i didn't see them in Disney, we saw these other white birds with long red beaks that are just like seaguls, I kept feeding them and they kept eating, i can't believe how much food these things eat.

We then wandered over to the lion king show, this is the first show i had videotaped. What amazes me about these shows is how much effort they put in to them, they do these shows like 4 times a day but you would think they were putting them on for the first time. Now when you leave this show you run into the stroller parking lot, I'm talking about ten rows of strollers, the traffic leaving Lion King is absolutely nuts. It's worse then taking the Don Valley parkway downtown Toronto during morning rushhour.

We then headed to into Africa, we got fast passes for the safari then hopped on the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch. I enjoyed the train ride but didn't find the Planet watch all that interesting, they need some sort of ride over in that area. We did get Rafiki's autograph over there though so it was worth it.

Picture045.jpg

We went back to the safari and we still have about 90 minutes for our fast passes but the line was only 20 minutes long so we waited in the line instead. I love the detail in this ride, if you look at the road it makes it look like it is a dirt road but it's actually paved to look that way. Our driver was really good she would actually stop when we saw a cool animal so we can take some pictures, I have read that alot of drivers don't stop. Once this was finished we decided to grab a bench somewhere and wait for the parade, we got a bench by this store so Kate went in and found a Tinkerbell purse she had to have and got that. Apparently tinkerbell is really popular this year as everywhere you go thats all you see.

We watched the parade and followed behind it as well as 10,000 other people so we could get out of the park. We headed back to the villa ;) and took a break. Kate wanted to run over to Epcot to get this Tinkerbell hat that lights up she had seen the day before but didn't buy. Yes this tinkerbell infactuation was really starting to get out of hand. Note to tink, you might consider a restraining order against Kate. So we let her go over there and get that, she was gone less than an hour. Yes the Boardwalk is prime real estate. On her way back over to the villa ;) she noticed the light wasn't working on her hat. Kelly took the hat downstairs to the Boardwalks general store and they didn't have any tink hats there nor did they have the batteries the hat took, the lady at the store said just take the batteries to any other place and they would exchange them.

Later on I suggested going over to Magic Kingdom and watching Spectro magic and Wishes that was when we spend the day at Magic Kingdom we could leave earlier since we've already caught those shows. By this time it was starting to get a little cool outside which I liked but the girls didn't dress for the weather at magic kingdom. I thought the tram ride from our parking lot to the entrance of Magic Kingdom was cute, the lady reminded us getting off to take everything with us including children as if any children were left they would become the property of Disney and forced to work in it's a small world. I'm sure they say this on every tram ride but i hadn't heard it before and I got a chuckle out of it.
Once we got into Magic Kingdom Kelly headed into the first store she saw and tried to get batteries, they didn't have any there, we tried another store, nope. Now kelly is getting frustrated because she can't find these batteries, i'm thinking it's no big deal anyway as they didn't even bring the hat so who cares but Kelly has a touch of OCD about this kind of thing and couldn't stop until she got these batteries. This was finally accomplished at Tinkerbell's treasures in behind the Magic Kingdom, finally the battery issue was put to rest.

tinknight.jpg

We still had some time before Spectromagic was going to start so we figured we would do Mickey's Philharmonic :3dglasses to get a jump start on the attractions as we were coming back to Magic Kingdom the next day. After this show we headed to the front of the castle to try to find a spot, there were a million people there. We ended up in this mass of bodies, three rows of kids in front of us and about ten rows of adults behind us. We were crammed in there like sardines and couldn't move at all and since my feet hurt from walking all day and my stupid blisters from those damn reeboks I was not very happy. What really bugs me is all the adults behind us have little kids they tell to push their way to the front so these little munchkins are just pushing you out of the way to get to the front. Kelly finally had enough and told these kids there was no room up front and wouldn't let them pass, my little gatekeeper kelly.

The parade was good even though I was ready to lose it in this crowd of people, I felt like Elaine on Seinfeld where she was on a subway and it lost power and everyone was all crammed together and she was losing it mentally, that was me. The parade ends and it's literlly 2 degrees outside, I couldn't believe how cold it got. Kelly was freezing and was in a pissy mood at this point anyway because of the kids so the cold weather turned her into a bear.

Now we had about 40 minutes till the fireworks so I suggested finding a spot close by where we could just sit down and wait for the fireworks, all the benches were taken of course because the people that had the benches for the Spectro parade just stayed there for the fireworks.
The fireworks were fantastic, even better than Illuminations I think but after the fireworks everyone wants to leave at the same time so mainstreet was a parking lot of humans. This is when it hits me, this entire trip is really one big line broken up by little increments of no lines. We finally got out and took the ferry back over. Once we finally made to the vehicle which took about 45 minutes from the completion of the fireworks we cranked up the heat, we were frozen, icicles hanging from our noses and all.

Now one thing we forgot to do this night was eat. My stomach was sucking up against my spine at this point(yes alot of my jokes come from Seinfeld, Simpsons and Curb your enthusiasm). I didn't think it was a big deal as we were staying at the Boardwalk where there is tons of food. I suggested ESPN club for wings or burgers or something. We get down there around 11:35pm and seat ourselves, it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to come over, she asked if we were going to order food and we responded in the affirmitive and she gave us menus. We ordered our drinks which she promtly retrieved for us. Now we all decided on what food we wanted fairly quickly which is not like Kelly or Kate at all, they usually take forever to analyze all the choices while I have a mental breakdown. She takes our order and disappears. About ten minutes later she comes back and aplogizes and says the kitchen is closed. DOH! Kate immediately burst into tears, no she didn't but the look on her face was priceless, the kid loves her food.

By now it's just past midnight so the pizza window is also closed on boardwalk and so is everything else foodwise. We grudgingly headed back to the villa and I ate a couple of pickles and hard boiled eggs I went straight to bed, no clue what Kelly and Kate woofed down but I had visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, actually it was visions of Turkey legs but whatever.

Stay tuned for day 5 coming soon.......

Love your report - we'll be at Boardwalk next Friday - DD13 wants to know how the Pizza is at the pizza window!
