HOLY COW..."Kramer" goes nuts!

Has anyone else seen this? Apparently Michael Richards was doing standup at the Laugh Factory in LA this weekend when a couple of guys started heckling him. He went ballistic and started spewing invectives at them including the incredibly taboo "n" word. Not once but at least a dozen times! Of course in this day and age, someone had the idea to video the incident with their video phone so you can see it here:

Wow. So uncalled for. I'm very surprised at him. At least Mel Gibson had a history, so nobody was too shocked he could be capable of that sort of bias, but I don't believe Richards ever gave any indication he was capable of saying such hateful things. Shame on him.

Half the audience was walking out.

Boy, between him and Gibson you could make a textbook on career suicide. Well, Richards didn't have much of a career to kill off. I wonder if this will kill the "golden goose" aka raking in the dough from Seinfeld reruns.

I was shocked, that can't be the first time he's had to deal with heckling in his stand up career. I can see saying "hey guys, knock it off", but the things he said were way out of line. I would have gotten up & walked out immediately too. I agree with the other poster who mentioned rehab, he'll probably blame this on drugs and/or alcohol.

What a moron. I'm ashamed that I was actually a fan of his...I'm certainly not now. Racism is one thing I do NOT tolerate at all. It's just plain ugly and wrong. And being perfectly honest, I just don't get it.

On the radio this morning a couple of people that worked on his failed TV show called in and said they were not at all suprised. They both made mention that he was verbally abusive on the set.

I had no idea. Never heard any gossip about him anywhere.

I don't think that was 'real" laughter, but an emotional response to a very uncomfortable situation.
